A/n: Wowie~Wow, didn't expect that to happen
Y/n's POV
Honestly, it's not the nightmares bothering me now, I've had them ever since I moved into this tiny cabin. But the real problem for me is...Toby.
I miss him, I really do. I can't believe I'm saying this but, I actually liked him. Like, like-like. Ugh. Stupid feelings. I loved him, he killed my family, even though he basically saved me. But I can't help but feel angry. Angry that I trusted those bastards with me and my sister's life.
Angry that I would never be able to live normally.
A strange thump from upstairs paused my thoughts. Of course it could be a rat or something, but I don't think rats are that big.
I silently walked over to the side of my door, where my metal emergency bat laid. I grabbed it in a firm grasp and started tiptoeing up the stairs. Once I got to the top I peeked into the first room in the hall, the guest room. I peeked inside, nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, just a few tree branches tapping at the window.
The second room was on the left, and it was the bathroom. The only thing there was a sticky note on the mirror that had a strange looking circle with an x through it. It seemed to be written in a hurry, and whoever did it had sloppy handwriting. I turned back around back into the hallway. The last room was mine. I creeped towards the door and gently pushed it open, before I heard a crash and threw it open. I frantically looked around the room, looking for the source.
I gripped my bat even harder when I heard footsteps behind me. A strong pair of arms wrapped themselves around me and covered mouth. I stood still as to not encourage him to hurt me.
I've seen enough horror movies to know what not to do in a scenario like this.
He slowly turned me around and I got a good look at his face. He wore a white feminine mask with black lips and eyes, and he wore a strange, yellow jacket. He looked pretty tall, maybe about 5'6. He had a 'burly lumberjack' kind of look to him. His hair was a dark brown and was sticking up in all directions.
I would feel his eyes travel up and down my body, as if he was taking me in as well. Then he bent his head down to look me in the face.
"Where is he?" He? Who's 'He'?
"What are you talking about? Why are you in my house?"
"Don't play dumb with me. You know who I'm talking about."
I honestly had no idea. All I knew was I had to find a way to get him out of here. Because it didn't look like he was leaving anytime soon.
"Look, I don't have any money, so you're out of luck." He growled and clenched his fists.
"I...don't want your money." I could tell he was angry. His voice was laced with it.
"Tell me where he is-"
"Who are you talking abou-"
"HOODIE! IM LOOKING FOR HOODIE! I KNOW YOU KNOW HIM!" He shook me by my shoulders. His voice started to break and he was trembling.
"I don't know where he is. Please...please. Just tell me where you saw him last or..." He broke into tears and dropped to the ground, burying his head down n his gloved hands.
To be honest, I felt bad for him. Maybe they were really close. I didn't know what to do. This man just broke into my house demanding to know where 'Hoodie' was. It's not like I was going to comfort him or anything.
"Really? His name is Hoodie?" He looked at me.
"What? N-no that's just what we call him, his real name is Brian."
Brian...Brian...wait BRIAN? FROM HIGH SCHOOL?
"He left about 4 years ago with Toby. I've been looking for him ever since. Then one day one of my friends saw him with some girl at a park in *insert town name here* so I went to look for him. Then I saw him at a school with you. I don't know where he went because he didn't have any information on the school. So I tracked you down."
I was furious. I didn't want to play in any of Brian or Toby's bull anymore. They ruined my life, so I wanted them to stay out of it.
"Fuck off."
"W-wha?"
"I don't know where he is and I don't care. So get the fuck out of my house."
"Ha...hahahaha." He was laughing. That motherfucker was laughing.
"What's so funny? You can look for your friend by yourself." He stared at me, and reached into his pocket. He held something small, similar to a piece of chalk. I realized that it was a cigarette.
"Look, I'll make you a deal princess." Princess? Where did that come from? "If you help me look for Brian and find him, I'll leave you alone for the rest of your life. You'll never have to see me, Brian, or Toby ever again." This is weird. First, he was sitting and sobbing like a baby, now he's attempting to make me an offer I can't refuse.
"And if I don't?" He stuck the cigarette into his mouth and pulled out a lighter. Barely touching the edge to light it. He chuckled darkly.
"If not...then I'll kill you."
