Ch.8

   Toby was starting to act very strange around you during school. More...protective it seemed like.
Whenever you walked around a guy, he moved closer. Whenever a guy looked at you, he glared right back at them. And I mean glared. Whenever a guy hit on you, ooh boy, he would not stand for it. You didn't mind though, because you thought he was just being a good friend. But you started to realize that something was really wrong when it was time to go home.

"Alright Toby, I should be heading home-"
"NO! I-I mean, I wanted to a-ask you if you wanted to s-stay over my house. I remember y-you saying that Lillith was acting weird."

"Right...I did tell him that."
It was true, you did tell him. You were scared and were just looking for some comfort.

"I don't know Toby, I have a lot of homework to do...then I have that project for Mr. Jefferson."

"O-oh ok then..."

"I'll see you later Toby."
"Bye."
Then you both went your seperate ways. You saw Brian out of the corner of your eye looking at you. Of course, you didn't look back. You didn't want him to say anything about what just happened.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
You shot up from your bed and looked at your clock. It was 1:30. "What the-" You got up and went downstairs. In the dim room you could just make out the figure of your mother at the door. She was...talking to someone. It looked to be some tall dude in a suit. You looked closer at his face but...he didn't have one? You crept down the stairs and dove behind the couch.

"I'm telling you...she has no idea. I gave it to her sister, and her transformation is almost complete. But I'm not helping you find your stupid proxies."

"Proxies?" 

"I already said, I would eat her. She's stronger than her sister is, I can tell that much."
Silence
"Jack? Look, I'm more experienced in this than he is, he would just be a bother."
Silence
"Once she's turned, she'll kill Y/n herself..."
"Wha-"
"My husband? Oh he already knows, but he's not telling. I already have him on the hook."
"Ok, tomorrow same time." She closed the door and turned around. You ducked down and held your breath. You could feel tears threatening to fall.
Your mother went upstairs and you could hear her bedroom door close.

You rushed to your room, trying to make sure no one could hear you. Breathing heavily, you sat on your bed and thought.

"What's happening here?

What was mom saying about Lillith?

Why did she have some 'transformation'?

Why did mom say she was going to kill me?

Who was that man-thing she was talking to?"

Your mind raced. I have to get out of here. You grabbed your backpack and dumped all of your school supplies out. You grabbed several pairs of pants and shirts. Then you grabbed your hoodies. But stopped as you heard a knock at your door.

"Y/n~ I have a surprise for you~"

It was Lillith.
