"Colby? Colby, please wake up!" I heard the familiar voices of my friends, Jake and Brennen say. I slowly opened my eyes and saw them standing beside me. "Wh-where am-am I?" I asked quietly. "Oh thank God!" Brennen said. "You're at the hospital, Colby," Jake told me. "How'd I g-get here?" "Long story short, you got beaten up, someone found you and found out some of your information then brought you here." Brennen then said. "We also got informed that you were in here," Jake added. "How long have I b-been here for?" I then asked. "You've been out for a good week," Jake told me, Brennen nodded his head. "Holy sh*t!" I said. "Don't worry about it!" Brennen said. "Oh, by the way, Colby. You had a black eye and almost a broken rib." Jake informed me. "But it's all healed!" Brennen said happily. "I'm sorry, guys. I should've l-listened to you when y-you called me. I shou-should've come back h-home." I confessed. "No, Colby. We're sorry."  "We know how important finding your soulmate is to you." Brennen and Jake said. We all hugged. ((I want a hug))

~Time Skip~

"Mr. Brock, you are good to leave!" The nurse told me. I nodded. Before I left, Jake and Brennen had to sign some papers.

"You ready to go?" Brennen asked as he finished signing his papers. I nodded and we exited the hospital.

I just noticed something. My arm is still hurting. But the pain is like 10x worse. I pulled up my sleeve and saw that it said: 15km. "What's wrong, Colby?" I heard Jake ask. I quickly pulled down my sleeve and said, "No-nothing."  "If you say so." I could tell that he knew I was lying.

After a while of thinking, I had this one thought, "Hey guys? Do you know by any chance, who brought me to the hospital?" "It was a female, I know that. And she is also a librarian. That's all we know." Brennen told me. 'I'm getting more confused by the day.'

We finally arrived back at my house. It's Saturday today. So that meant I have 2 days before school. I went into my room and saw all of my things from my 'journey' , I guess you could call it. Then I saw it; I saw the book that the Librarian gave me. I was tempted to read more, so I did.

It read,

If you get in a relationship with someone other then your soulmate, something bad will happen to you, or your soulmate. Also, to tell what gender your soulmate is before you meet them, you would either feel the need to watch romance films and get drunk, if the person is a girl. If the person is a boy, you would feel the need to go find that person, to go on a journey. If your soulmate is an unknown gender, you would feel the need to have sex with anyone who crossed your path. ((Why did I write that-))

Some people might not have soulmark. There is an 80% chance that someone does have one, and a 20% chance that someone doesn't. And that is okay. That just means that that person can be in a relationship with anyone, as long as they don't have a soulmark. The earliest you can develop a soulmark is at birth, and the latest is in-between the age of 20 and 25. You and your soulmate will develop a soulmark at the same time. And with some soulmarks, comes a number. That number is how far apart the two of you are. And every time one of you gets a few miles, kilometres, etc. Closer, you might feel pain. The more pain, the more tempted you are to find one another. ((Is it just me, or does pain feel good? I feel like I sound depressed now😐))

Some studies show, that your soulmark means something, that will, or would be apart of you and your soulmate. For example, if you and your soulmate share a soulmark that looks like a sun, you both love the outdoors, looking up at the stars and being able to run through fields of grass. Sometimes, this study is not always true. It could be the exact opposite. There is a 75% chance of it being true and a 25% chance of it being incorrect. It also depends on which part of the body it's on. If you would like to learn more about this topic, please go on page 365.

I closed the book. I finally got the one, answer I have been waiting for; 'My soulmate is a boy.'
