The glittering lights of blue and red danced around with the faint resonance of wailing sirens, waking her from her somnolence instantaneously rubbing her half shut eyes. Ryujin rouse herself and look for Yeji's presence around the house, calling her name once or twice but to no avail she wasn't home.

The deafening sounds of the sirens grew louder and louder perking up her interest to check on the commotion that's not far from her house. She peeked through the window a little and saw a crowd of pedestrians circling towards something and so she made out her way towards the fuss.

"Oh my God! She lost so much blood. I hope she's okay."

"Poor woman. Her take away dinners are scattered to the ground and covered in blood. What a waste."

"I really hope she'll make it to the hospital alive, bro."

"Did you saw that? She got hit hard by a drunk driver who sent her flipped to the ground unconscious. Shit! That's tragic as hell."

'Blood? Woman? Dinner? What are all these people talking about?' mused Ryujin to herself as she walked closer to see the unconscious person who's lying on the ground but everyone keeps on blocking her from getting a clear view. Sicken for constantly being pushed backwards and blocked, the headstrong narcissist started to push and shove people out of the way. As soon as she saw what's in front of her, Ryujin felt her entire world caved in.

Her breath caught in her throat as she tried not to retch at the sight. She wanted to look away, wanted to tear her eyes away, wanted to walk away, but she couldn't. The ooze slowly seep out of the victim's covered head forming a pool of thick red juice on the roadway coating the food that was scattered around it.

The gory scene was - nauseating, disturbing, depressing. A million thoughts invaded her mind for now that she suddenly recalled of a certain cat eyed girl who's missing the second she opened up her eyes earlier. Her whole body started to tremble in fear and high anxiety, her legs became wobbly and her hands numbed. However, with all strength that's left in her, Ryujin took a step closer and kneeled beside the victim, reaching out a visibly shaky hand to take a look at the victim's face.

"I'm sorry but you can't do that, ma'am." said a man in a white uniform who's now looking at her sternly. "But I need to know who the victim is. I need to know if she's my fiancée!" she cried out loud but the man just shook his head and affirmed, "I'm sorry for your loss, ma'am but I really can't let you take a peek of the victim. I'm sorry but we gotta go, she needs to be saved."

"What the fuck do you mean you're sorry for my loss, you motherfucker?! Come back! Let me see her face! I deserved to know the truth!"

It was a sad, sad situation and its getting more and more absurd when there's no one there tried to help her. Ryujin fell to her knees once again, grieving over her fiancée. The feeling of blameworthiness replenish her whole being.

If only she didn't fall asleep earlier.

If only she didn't picked on the girl's nerve earlier.

If only she had spent more time with her earlier.
