Wooyoung slipped his full tray onto one of the round tables of the cafeteria.
The big room was buzzing like a beehive, full of the students' chatter and laughs. It seemed like every other day if Wooyoung didn't still think about the horrible incident two weeks ago.
When he had come back from his visit at the hospital a lot went through his mind. There was this major guilt eating him up inside, the anger and confusion and all the questions he had for his friend.
The questions he had for himself, the actions he now had to choose between. He could talk to Yeosang, try to find out what drove him to this level of hatred he must've had inside of himself.
All he wanted to do was to just shut everyone out, crawl inside his sheets again and live an endless Monday morning of over sleeping.
His indecisiveness had led him to the zombie-like state he had found himself in for almost two weeks now.
Apart from taking over every extra shift he could get, he had found out caffeine actually worked on him very well and quickly caught up with school again. What was left was a time frame spanning over about five hours on average. If he was lucky and no one would come to the convenience store downtown, that he just started working in, he could finish early and get through the next day with only one cup in the morning.
Nevertheless, he still didn't like the bitter taste of the dark brown liquid, so he downed the cheap espressos like they were shots at a college party.
Too bad they didn't sell coffee at the cafeteria, on Wooyoung's tray laid a sad looking set of fries and chicken nuggets with an overly sugary milkshake.
He heard sugar could help a little, too
His teachers were surprised he had never come late once, not even on Friday, he had simply asked a parent to take his siblings with them so he could be on time for school.
Especially his science teacher, Mr. Kim, had looked surprised this Friday when Wooyoung walked through the door as one of the first students to enter the classroom for the second time in a row.
He must've been surprised, at least that's what Wooyoung thought because when the man in his 40's had wanted to ask him what had happened that he apparently comes to school on time now, he accidentally started babbling out very private things.
Wooyoung had to admit that the drama around Mr. Kim, his husband and the janitor got more and more interesting as time went on, so he secretly didn't mind. He had caught himself several times already listening curiously to the gossip he had been catching bits of in the hallway.
Apparently, they have finally come to an end with their on and off divorce debate. Was he now getting divorced for real or was he going to stay with his husband? Wooyoung wondered if Jongho was as interested in this drama as him.
If he didn't have anything better to do, Wooyoung would've turned this into a soap opera already and could be rich by now.
Snap!
A hand waved in front of his face aggressively.
"Woo?", Seonghwa asked, "Heelloo, are you there?"
"What???", Wooyoung shook his head a little, pulled back into the noisy cafeteria.
His friend sighed "I was asking if you'd join us on cleaning the ranks and benches in the gym? You know, we didn't want to leave Yeo alone..."
"Hah, yeah, even though he told us not to 'cause he doesn't need help.", Jongho commented as he stuffed way too many fries into his mouth.
