When Yoongi came back to his senses, Jiho and the trainer were bent over him. Groaning, Yoongi sat up. He hated this.
"Are you okay ? You just passed out" Jiho asked in concern. Yoongi shrugged it off, getting up and off the ring.
"Get yourself an ice pack" the trainer called after him. Yoongi didn't respond nor react to it. He just left without looking back. His head was throbbing and lip bleeding. Sweatdrops were running down the back of his neck, his shirt clung to his back. Taking off the gloves, he threw them across the dressing room. In the bathroom, he splashed water on his face. Looking up to the mirror, he saw his relfection. Water was dripping from his chin and he noticed that his nose was bleeding too. He felt like smashing his face into the mirror, as he gripped on the edges of the sink, his knuckles turning white. Taking off his already bloodstained shirt, he held it to his bleeding nose, wincing in pain at the first contact.
As he sat on the bank, he asked himself how he felt. Was he less angry now ? Did he feel any better now ? He took a moment to listen to his inner voice, but there was only silence. Emptiness is all he felt. Was this better than being mad furious ? He didn't have the answers.
"Bro, are you really okay ? You seem so far off with your head today" Yoongi heard Jiho say, as he entered the dressing room, kneeling down in front of him. It took all of his inner strength no to flip him off. He hated it when people acted like they actually gave a fuck and cared about his well being.
"This is my usual state, you shouldn't be this surprised" Yoongi stated and got up. Slipping on his hoodie, he threw his backpack over his shoulder and headed out. He didn't bother to change out of his shorts and left the place. His bloody shirt was still in his hand as he walked back home. In this state he couldn't get on the bus. People would stare at him and silently judge him with their eyes. It wasn't exactly in his intrest to be the center of attention. Hood pulled over his head and head hung low, he walked on the sidewalk.

The speech of the principal finished and Jangmi turned to Taehyung, who was already looking at her.
"Can I walk you to your lecture ?" he asked her and Jangmi smiled widely. She obviously didn't know where the different rooms were, so she was thankful that he had offered to walk her there saving her the trouble of finding her way around herself.
"I would love that" she told him and he smiled back at her, getting up. Jangmi followed behind him, as they made their way through the crowd.
"Tae there is a party going on at Jungkook's tonight, you must come, do you hear me ?" a blonde boy approached Taehyung, holding a leaflet to his face. When the boy's eyes landed on Jangmi, he smirked and handed a leaflet to her as well.
"You can of course bring guests, my friend" the boy said, cackling as he moved to the next person in line, handing away the leaflets.
Taehyung laughed as he shook his head at the boy and looked at Jangmi.
"This is like the highlight of every semester" Taehyung explained to her. "They always make such a huge deal out of it. I guess, you could say it has become a tradition."
"Sounds fun" Jangmi said, not really knowing what to say. She didn't enjoy parties that much, which is why she avoided them most of the time. But of course she had been to a couple, her best friend had forced her to attend. So when Taehyung asked her to go with him out of the blue, she was taken by surprise.
"I know that we just met but would you like to join me tonight ? I could pick you up if you like. You could meet some of my friends and get familiar with the students. I mean, maybe you would feel more comfortable if you had someone you sorta know with you."
His eyes were sparkling as he attentively looked at her, waiting for her response in what looked like anticipation. She looked at his innocent expression and felt her heart melt. How was he this cute ? Even though she didn't know this guy and also knew better than to trust him right away, she kinda felt inclined to say yes. What harm could there be in going to a welcome college party ? It would be a great opportunity to meet new people and make some friends, which Jangmi desperately needed. Only one night she would allow herself to have some fun. She didn't drink anyway, so there was also a lower risk of something happening to her. After a long pause, she finally nodded her head in agreement, causing a huge grin to spread on Taehyung's lips as he beamed at her.
"Okay, you can text me your address and I will pick you up at 6" he already began planning and pulled out his phone, opening his contacts. „Can you add your number to my contacts ?"
"Sure" Jangmi said, taking his phone and typing in her number.
After they exchanged numbers, Taehyung showed Jangmi around a little as they walked to her lecture hall. His company was very pleasant. He was a very easy going chill person, who natrually made you feel at ease. Another plus was that he was doing most of the talking, which also relaxed Jangmi a lot because she felt it was hard to express herself at times. They parted ways once they arrived at the lecture hall. Jangmi thanked him a lot and said goodbye before she entered her first lecture. Fortunately Jangmi became aquainted with the girl she had sat next to, who later on helped her to find the next lecture hall she had to get to. The hours rushed and without even noticing Jangmi had finished her last lecture and had officially finished her first day at the new uni. Without losing any time, she hurried home. Thankfully she had gotten the day off from work because it was her first day at uni. Mr. Yun was very considerate and understanding of her situation. Even though Jangmi had no work experience whatsoever, she knew that she was very lucky with her boss. Not many would be this obliging.
Everything was going according to plan. Everything was working in her favour. It all seemed too perfect to be true. Jangmi was overflowing with joy and confidence. She felt she could take over the world. Wondering whether this was only beginner's luck and when her streak of luck was going to end, the only thing she could do was to hope for a steady future. The rush of these small victories and new changes in her life were addictive. She was high on life and she didn't want this feeling of euphoria to fade.
When Jangmi arrived at her apartment, she fiddled in her bag to find her keys. As she was rummaging through her things, unawarily her eyes wandered to her neighbour's door. She listened for some noises or music coming from his apartment, but she couldn't hear anything. Taking a look at her watch, she figured that he must have headed out to get some takeaway. It had only been a week and a half since she had moved to this place, but she was already picking up on habits or the schedule of her neighbour. It wasn't like she was specifically paying attention, but she was aware of when he usually left his apartment or around what time he began to blast music. She didn't even know his name yet, but knew these tiny little and probably unecessary details about him. Her mind went back to when she had seen him in the bus in the morning. When her fingers touched the cold metal of her keys, Jangmi pushed back the thoughts of her neighbour and unlocked her door.
The first thing she did, was take a long relaxing shower before she texted Taehyung her address and began to get ready. She had a little over an hour time and wanted to take full advantage of every second. It had been a long while since she had last gone out and it felt as if she had forgotten how to get ready for a party. Very indecisive about what she should wear, she went through her limited options. In the end Jangmi dressed in a little black dress and put her hair up in a messy bun, with loose strands of hair framing her face. She didn't want a very intense make-up look and opted for warm nude colors for her eyeshadow and lips. Putting on her favorite pair of sparkly black stilettos, she completed her outfit. It had been forever since she last dressed up this sexy. Usually she felt very uncomfortable in such daring clothing items, but she was young and felt good in her skin. She wanted to impress Taehyung. The dress reached her mid thigh so it was fairly short but at least it wasn't skintight but flowed out. Jangmi made sure to wear black shorts underneath to make sure she wouldn't flash her underwear at any point of the night and also to make her feel more comfortable and safe in the dress.
Satisfied with the reflection in the mirror, Jangmi grabbed her silver clutch from off the kitchen counter and headed for the door. Jangmi called the elevator but it took way too long for it to arrive. As impatient as she was growing, she decided to take the stairs. She was already late and didn't want to keep Taehyung waiting for her. As she rushed down the stairs, high heels clicking, she was concentrated on not slipping with the shoes. As she was on the fourth floor, a man came her way. Jangmi moved a little to make space for him to pass her by on the stairs. But unfortunately the man no longer seemed to pass her by, as he slowed down and eventually halted. Jangmi felt her chest tighten with anxiety as she avoided eye contact with the stranger and focused on passing him quickly. No luck. His hand wrapped around her wrist, and he pulled Jangmi close to him.
"Where are you going dressed up like this, my dear ?" the man slurred. Heavy smell of alcohol entered Jangmi's nose, and she knew she was in big trouble. Cursing the heavens for not haven taken the elevator, she felt her heart race in fear.
"Sir, let go of me" she firmly said, trying her hardest to appear tough and not totally terrified. The man's deep chuckle filled the silent stairwell, sending chills down her spine. He was way older than her and yet hitting on her. Jangmi felt deeply disgusted and tried to pull her arm out of his grip, only for him to hold on tighter.
"Baby, I cannot let you leave the house like this, now can I ?" he breathed into her face, which made Jangmi grimace, "There are bad guys out there, who would do evil, dirty things to you in this dress. I cannot let that happen, can I ? I must protect my baby girl."
Jangmi's stomach churned, and she felt hot tears brim in her eyes. A million worst case scenarios were playing out in her head, sending her into a full panic state. Should she call for help ? Would Taehyung hear her ?
The man nuzzled his head in her neck and Jangmi violently flinched back, pushing at his chest as she tried desperately to make space between the both of them.
"Let go of me immediately, my boyfriend is waiting downstairs, he will come up here to look for me" she lied in an attempt to scare him off. But it seemed like he gave zero fucks, because again he pulled on her wrist, closing the distance between their bodies. Just as Jangmi felt totally helpless and panicked, the man in front of her was harshly yanked away from her. In total shock, Jangmi froze holding her breath.
