5. the best friend

Krist hasn't seen the young prince after his unexpected kiss on his cheek, for a week now. Singto always communicates with Karn and through him, the younger prince will tell krist to come to his office, to clean or sort his presentations ,  but Singto remains conspicuously absent when Krist is around.

Krist understands clearly the young prince is regretting his loss of control or whatever it was and avoiding him completely. Krist sighs what did he expect, Singto will warm upto him? Singto must have been stressed after the council meeting or with his boyfriend Ohm to behave so out of character that day! Krist decides, yes, that's the logical explanation and starts folding the clothes strewn across Karn's room.

But as expected he is not left to his own musings as two elder boys enter the room after their gym session. Karn and his best friend Knot.

" Hey krist, why you skipped gym again today? You know you should build up muscle, you look frail and more paler than before. Hey Karn are you making him work that hard?"

Knot says as he starts stripping off his sweat drenched t shirt and takes the towel which krist passes on cue, and enter the washroom for a bath. Krist starts automatically arrange Knot's clothes in the changing room as Karn watches him with a fond smile.

" You are going with us to lunch and I am not hearing no, this time. Gym, I excused you as you said your allergy again resurfaced but lunch, no escaping."

Karn ruffles his hair, as krist just nods in yes, and Karn goes to the walk in closet and to the spare washroom.

Knot comes out of his bath first, only with a towel around his waist. He watches krist for sometime busy with arranging the closet still. Later when the younger doesn't give him any attention or glance at his physique,as he keeps himself stoically immersed in his sorting work, Knot sighs,and  starts wearing his clothes. What's the use of the well built muscles if not admired by your long time crush. Gym an utter failure! Sigh!

" Is your allergy again that bad?"

He softly asks, taking the opportunity of Karn's absence and approaches him..

" No, sorcier knot. It's just I am getting breathless a little because of the cough getting triggered with exhaustion."

He gives a small smile as he goes back to the last of the clothes to be arranged and fails to notice the closeness of knot or how  he keeps on looking longingly at krist, dressed in a beige hoodie and casual whitewashed jeans.. 

" Call me phi Knot .. krist. You call Karn,phi, why not me?

He tentatively touches the soft brown luscious locks..

"But.."

Krist turns around, when the walk in closet door opens with a click and Karn comes out. He is fully dressed,all ready to go for an early lunch with his best friend and his dear nong krist. Knot immediately takes few steps back. The tanned muscle man suddenly starts arranging his gym clothes bag, avoiding his best friend's eyes. But his best friend gives a knowing smile at his direction.

" Hey are you again bothering him Knot about gym? He is extremely cute like this,those bulky muscles suits you knot,not our little mice here."

He pinches his chubby pink cheeks, now flushed rouge with the "cute" comment. Karn loves krist's innocence, but he feels too protective of him because of the same reason, he is too naive!

A sudden commotion and shouting catches all threes attention. It's coming from Singto's room situated just beside Karn. Basically both the brothers share a huge wing which gives them ample amount of privacy from each other.
