We continued talking for a little bit before I decided to check my phone. I had put it on do not disturb. 11 missed calls from Seungcheol, and a few from other members. Around 30 texts. I sighed. I should've texted Seungcheol not to try to find me, and I just wanted to be alone.
"One more question. Should I do it in front of everyone else, or talk to him on his own."
"Doing it in front of everyone else, if you can handle it, might help more because it'll give you more pressure to get over him." I nodded.
"Thanks Mira. It helped a lot, talking to you." She grinned.
"It's helping me too, talking to you. Gives me good practice. And a good friend." I smiled back. Mira was my first real friend. Someone who didn't become friends with me for an ulterior motive, or because they had to, or just because we would be stuck together for a while.
"I should probably get back. I don't want to worry Seungcheol Hyung too much, and I should get it over with and tell my crush that I like him." Mira nodded.
"I'll walk you back part of the ways."
We left the secret little park about four hours after we entered. Mira walked with me all the way back to her coffee shop, then waved.
"Good luck!" She called.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called Seungcheol. After a moment, I figured I probably should've called Jeonghan first, because he would be nicer. But the phone was already ringing. As soon as he picked up, I braced myself for yelling.
"Jihoonie?" He said softly. "Are you okay?" I deflated slightly.
"Yeah. I'm fine. I went to talk to Mira again, she helped. I'm sorry I exploded at you guys. I didn't mean it. And I'm sorry I worried you all again."
"No, you did mean it. And we deserved it. We should have realized what we were putting you through, and that the ways we thought were helping, didn't actually help. We'll try to be better friends from now on. All of us." I blinked rapidly.
"Me too, Hyung."
"Are you coming home now?" I nodded, even though he couldn't see me.
"Yeah I'll be back in about 20 minutes."
"Okay. See you soon."
"See you soon." I hung up and put my phone back in my pocket. At least I had another 20 minutes to stop crying. My cheeks were dry by the time I opened the dorm door. Everyone was sitting in the living room, I guess they had all left pledis after I ran out. Jeonghan and Seungcheol jumped up and hurried over to me. Jeonghan gave me a hug. Someone started crying, I think it was Minghao.
"I'm sorry everyone. For leaving, and for yelling at all of you. I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry." Everyone stared at me, except for one member, who looked away. I guess he was still angry. DK stood up.
"No, we're sorry, Hyung. We should've realized."
"We've been talking, since you left," Jisoo said. "A better way to help you, rather than drag you away from work, is to actually help you. See what you go through in a day. Obviously we don't have your skill set, but we're willing to help you in any way possible." I swallowed past the lump in my throat.
"Thanks, Hyung. That means a lot." I turned to face Hoshi. "Hoshi Hyung, can I talk to you?" He scowled but stood up.
"What?" He walked over to me and placed his hands in his pockets.
"First of all, I'm sorry for worrying you. Second of all, I have something to confess." Hoshi looked shocked, and I heard someone behind me whisper 'yes!'. "I like you." His jaw dropped. "But I don't want to make you uncomfortable, so hopefully by confessing, my feelings will go away. I don't want to like you. I'm sorry."
"Jihoon I-"
"No. I don't want a response. I don't need you to reject me, I think I'll get over my feelings easier if I just tell you then let it go. I don't want anyone to bring it up anymore, please." I looked at the rest of the group, they looked shocked, and maybe a little sad too. Some of them, at least. I bowed slightly, then headed to my room.
