Never give up

The gathering

"Really, you've just had a sandwich!" Newt says.
"So, tell me when lunch is."
"It's in two minutes, get in the queue just now, you won't have to wait as long. I'll see you later, Minho and I have to go."
"Go where?" I rely quickly
"The gathering, before you ask, you can't come. Come on Minho." Newt looks at me with sympathy.
"Is it about me?." I ask
"I... Can't say." He hesitates.
"It is about me! Why can I not come if it's about me?"
"It's the rules, order, remember that." With that he walks away with Minho. I walk away and hand my plate back to Frypan and he gives me my lunch early, seeing as he is going to the gathering. Great just great, I think.

Newt's POV
After I walk away with Minho, I look around and see that Alex is getting her lunch from Frypan. I turn back around and say to Minho.
"I feel bad for leaving Alex, she doesn't have anyone else part from me and you."
"Aww Newtie has a wittle crushie wushie!" Minho says like a two year old. I could feel my face starting to heat up.
"No I don't."
"Admit it, you do."
"No I don't Minho! I only met her yesterday!"
"Tell that to your face, it looks like a really ripe tomatoe." We finally reach the place where the gathering is held.
"Get in ya slinthead." I say to Minho
"Ladies first." He says to me
"Age before beauty." I retort with a grin. He walks in and takes his seat and I follow, taking my seat between Minho and Alby.
"As we know, we get a greenie every month for the past year. The shuck creators have decided to send us a girl. We have to now decide what we're going to do with her. Zart, you first."
"Well, I've not spoken to her. I'd say we treat her like a normal greenie." Zart says.
"Winston."
"I'd say lock her up in the slammer, no good can come if they sent a girl up." He says, Alby jots notes, I look at Minho and raise my eyebrows as if 'do you agree?' He shakes his head, at least Zart isn't the only person who doesn't think she's bad. Alby goes around the keepers, some agree with Zart, including Gally and some agree with Winston's idea. Slintheads. When it comes to Minho he says.
"I agree with Zart, unlike most of you shanks Newt and I have spent time with her. She's just as clueless as we were when we came up." Thank you Minho! I think.
"Newt your next."
"I agree with Minho, she's a good person." Is all I say.
"Gathering is over just now, I need time to decide, Frypan make some extra lunch." We all walk out and I say to Minho.
"What do you thinks going to happen?"
"Let's hope for the best." Is all he says.
