*2 months later*
"Alright we're going to have a group project over how the house and senate create a bill into a law." I looked over at Jana she looked deep in thought and a little tense. She's been this way for a few days she won't tell me what's wrong. "Jazmine!"
"Huh?" I looked up at Mrs. Carson who looked like she's been trying to catch my attention. "Stop stating at Janatheonna and make you way to your partner." I looked at who she was pointing at I groaned. "Fuck my life!"i whispered, the bell rang. I ran after Jana she's going to tell me what's wrong. "Jana!" I grabbed her arm and she semi screamed. I instantly let go as she clutched her arm to her chest and looked at me. I walked closer to her and gently took her arm, she flinched as I touched it. I moved her sleeve up there was a deep gash going down her forearm. I instantly got mad. "Who is doing this to you?"
"Don't worry about it. We're just friends Jaz." I looked at her remembering a month ago.
*flashback*
"Umm Jana?"
"Hmmm?" We was at my house sitting on the couch watching teen wolf. "Will you go out with me?" She just stared at the TV, "Jana?"
"Huh?"
"Did you hear me?"
"No what did you say?" I rubbed the back of my neck nervously. "I said you're beautiful."
"Aww thank you." She went back to watching TV.

So she wanted me to ask her out? Then why has she been avoiding me so much? Her snapping in my face brought me back to reality. "Huh?"
"Can you let me go you don't have to be concerned it's not your job to be." I stepped closer to her as I stared into her eyes, "where can i apply for the job?" But before she could answer someone pulled me back away from her, "Back off she's mine now!" I grunted, "Why are you with her Jana you can do better."
"Yea right Jay let's go now!" She forcefully grabbed Jana's forearm where the gash was and led her away. It took everything in me not to go and beat Emerald within a second of her life. Yes she's with Emerald why? I have no idea. I sighed heavily and walked to class. I sat in my chair and took out some notebook paper. *note*
'Did she hurt you?' She looked at the paper, then pushed it back. Great she won't tell me, I got up and kneeled next to her desk. "Mrs. Stevens get back to your desk now."
"Who did this to you Jana?" She looked me in my eyes, but before she could say anything Emerald tackled me to the floor. "I told you to stay away from what's mine my dude." I tried to contain my anger as best I could. But I blacked out when I came too I was being pulled off of an unconscious Emerald. I looked around until my eyes fell on Jana's. She looked terrorized of me, at that moment I felt defeated. I let the officers take me out the class to the principal's office.
Great I'm suspended for three days and Jana is scared of me. "I told you to keep a low profile Jazmine!" I looked at my father as he paced back in forth in my living room. He's pissed because I was so close to losing myself. "Hey she's the one who attacked me! That girl has been after me since my first time I walked through the doors of the school!" He looked shocked at my sudden outburst, but all I could do was think of Jana. My father said something to me, I wasn't listening to wrapped up in my thoughts so I just nodded and he left. I sighed heavily then got up showered, then went to sleep. I'll deal with everything in the morning. I woke up because my phone was ringing, it was Jana. "Hello?"
"Met me at the park in 30 minutes."
"Ok." She hung up, well at least she's not too scared of me. I got up and threw on a black Nike sweat suit and my custom batman Nike dunks with my batman snapback. So what I like batman don't judge I grabbed my phone and keys. I hoped in my car and drove down to the park and went and sat in a swing. I got there 5 minutes early so I played Trivia Crack until Jana showed up. "Damn how was I supposed to know Jim Caviezel played Edmond?"
"Because that's my favorite movie." I looked up at Jana her eyes were red. I got up and walked over to her and hugged her to my body she started to cry. "What is going on Jana?" I whispered as I held her, she cried for at least 10 minutes as I held her tighter until she calmed down. "I'm sorry,"
"For what?"
"Crying so much."
"Don't apologize for crying Jana your hurt I'll always be here to wipe away your tears. Now tell me please what is wrong." She looked into my eyes like she was looking for something. "My parents aren't exactly safe for me to be around. My mom is a drunk and my dad is too passive to control her. Every time something is wrong or her day doesn't go right she flips out."
"Is that how you have that gash on your arm?" She nodded her head slowly as she looked at the ground. I sighed heavily trying to control my anger, until I felt something on my face. I gently grabbed her hand that was on the side of my face and slowly reopened my eyes. "Stay with me Jana. You will be safer you can't stay there anymore."
"I have to Jazzy she's my mom. Maybe she will change once she realizes how much she's hurting my dad and me." I caressed her face gently, "You always look at the upside of things Jana." She giggled, "If I don't who will? Not you Mrs. Serious/Mysterious." We both laughed, "I have to go."
"Please don't go back there Jana."
"I'll be fine Jazzy." I sighed I knew she was going to be stubborn about this. "Fine but at least let me drive you home."
"Ok." We walked back to my car and I opened and closed her door for her, "Aww look at the little gentlemen." She said as I got in the car, "Shut up, so is Emerald ok?"
"Yea she's ok a few bruises, but she's ok." It got quiet in the car, "We broke up."
"Why?"
"She's a hoe and I don't play that she and her hoes can live a happy life together."
"It's a good thing I fought her then huh?" She hit me in the back of my head. "Hey! I'm driving woman."
"You're an idiot for fighting her, but thank you."
"She hit me first...But you looked so scared of me though." We was at her house now, it was silent again I just stared at my steering wheel. She grabbed my face in her hands so I had to look at her, "I was scared I never seen you so mad. But I knew it was only because you thought she did this to me."
"You're not going to make me apologize to her are you?" She laughed at my puppy dog face, "No, but I should go now before she wakes up."
"Ok I'll pick you up and take you to school."
"Why it's only down the street?"
"Because I want to make sure you safe, and it gives me an excuse to come see you even if I am suspended." She laughed at me, "That's what you get... Goodnight Jazzy."
"Goodnight Jana." She got out and I watched as she walked into her house. I waited until she got into her room and waved from the window. I drove back to my house then undressed. I felt my phone vibrate,
