A few years after the incidents, Kaiba had started to notice a few things his puppy would do in response to the trauma he had experienced.
Joey will have nightmares every night, More often than not, he will cry, scream, thrash, desperately trying to stop the people in what seems to be the current reality.
Joey can no longer stand being alone, something he would enjoy on occasion. Kaiba had noticed that Joey will start to shake, maybe even cry, if he is left alone for a few minutes.
Joey can’t even talk to most people any more, afraid that they will hurt him.
Many things that his beloved puppy would normally do, has long since gone. Though that does not make Kaiba love Joey any less. He just wished he could help his love with the pain he has inside of him.
