"This place is scary," Kiara says ad the five of us walk into a creepy and dark graveyard.
"Why did we have to go tonight why couldn't we have gone in the day, you know, when it doesn't look like a dead man walking is gonna jump out and kill us" I complain. "I agree with Summer," Kiara says.
"John B what are we doing," Kiara asks. "Okay, so you know how you're trying to remember a song and you can't remember who sings it?" He replys. I don't know where he's going with this. "So Redfield. This whole time I thought it was a place, right? But it's not a place..." He shines his lantern on the grave structure in front of us "...It's a person" I look up to see the name "REDFIELD" written across the stone.
"Voi- effing - la" JJ says. "See my great-great-grandmother, Olivia Redfield. That was her maiden name. Now cmon help me with the door" John B signals to us.
"One, two, three..." They all struggle to lift the door. "This doors like 700 lbs it's not gonna budge" Pope states. "We didn't come this far to get this far, all right?" JJ groans.
All of a sudden a snake pops out hissing at us. All of us jump back. "Woah Woah Woah" Pope yells.
"That's a moccasin, all right. Ye olde Dr. coppermouth death is tall grass" JJ starts to bark at the snake. How high is this kid?
"JJ, shut up" Kiara scolds him. "You're gonna wake the fricken dead man" Pope exaggerates. "They're afraid of dogs" JJ acts as if this is common sense. "Wait hold on" JJ grabs John B's shoulder preventing him from reaching out for the door.
"If there's one, there's probably dozens all around" I shiver. "Okay, can you just stop you're scaring us" Kiara refers to herself and me. She's not wrong. I hate snakes.
JJ continues to bark at the snakes. "Stop barking at the snakes"
"Shut up John, look we're not getting in there, all right? It's not budging" Pope says as Kiara examines the door with her flashlight. "we should probably just go"
"Summer can get through," Kiara says out of nowhere. Woah Woah Woah. What is she getting me into? "Huh" I question her.
"No no no, you think she's gonna fit through the hole" John B says. "So you saying I'm fat" I raise my eyebrow. "No no- uh- I just meant-"
"Hey, I'm just messing with you bud. I know my body is sexy thank you very much" I joke. "It really is princess" JJ winks at me and I jab him." Not the time JJ save that for later" His eyes bulge with excitement for the mention of 'later' and I leave it up to his three brain cells to imagine what that may entitle.
"With a boost, she can get in easily," Kiara says. I interrupt John B before he has a chance to oppose it. "I mean this is about your dad, right. You need closure. I know that if I was in your situation and I didn't know what happened to my mother I'd need this too. It's fine really"
"Thank you Summer" He gives me a hug. "Hey let's not get all touchy and boost me up boys" I try to lighten the mood.
John B and Pope push away the branches and JJ bends down leaving room for my feet in between his hands. "Up you go princess"
"Thanks, blonde. Remind me what I'm looking for" I ask.
"You'll know when you see it" I place my feet in JJ's hands and he lifts me into the air and I fall into the stone structure.
I pick up my flashlight and begin to examine this place.
"You alive... Got a heartbeat and everything" John B says from the other side of the wall. "So far so good. Thanks for worrying about me Johny Boy" I reply.
