And Imogen's parents had none for her.
Not to get her wrong. She loved them still...
Yet it hurt that even after throwing her out into the cruel, cold world against her own will they left her again and again, the moment she had begun to feel as if she could depend on their presence.
So many missed school performances.
So many missed parent-teacher conferences.
There was only Imogen.
And after 17 years of living that way..
she felt that maybe it was just better that way.
