CAMILLE

"Great," Louis brought the camera away from his eyes and allowed it to freely hang around his neck. "Let's take a break. We'll come back in fifteen minutes for the final lot of images."

I exhaled, taking my white gown from Sara and wrapping it around my body. I was only wearing a set of Calvin Klein underwear, a modern cotton bralette in coral with the matching briefs on my bottom half. I'd shot in all sorts of different outfits today, starting in a Calvin Klein logo bodysuit with some jeans, moving onto loungewear sets, hoodies and matching jogging bottoms, then finally underwear. I'd not stopped all day and I was exhausted. I arrived at the studio just before nine this morning and it was almost six in the evening, only stopping for short breaks and a half an hour lunch. To make my agitation even worse, I'd not once heard from my fiancé all day. He was training with Andrea before I left and I knew he planned to spend a few hours reading over car data from Ferrari after Australia, but I didn't think he would completely ignore my texts. I wanted to push it out of my mind, but it was hard. I was missing him and I just wanted to be at home.

"Is everything okay?" Sara placed her hand on my shoulder as I reached for a bottle of fresh water, my fifth of the day. I sighed and took a seat on the tall chair, before being totally swarmed by hair and makeup artists to touch up my face. I loved my job and I was so grateful to be so lucky, but it did get a little tiring.

"Just tired," I shrugged after taking a large gulp of the ice water. It was awfully refreshing and exactly what I was craving. Sara gave me a sympathetic look. "And I miss Charles. I just want to go home, to be honest."

"We can call it a day, if you're too tired to continue," charming; I'd only been here for ten hours and as my day was drawing to an end, the thought finally crossed Sara's mind. I appreciated we were busy because my in-studio shoots were gradually drawing to a close because we would be focusing more on my clothing range and shooting at race weekends, but sometimes it was too much. "You've been working all day."

"It's fine," shaking my head, I placed the bottle on the table beside me, closing my eyes to allow my makeup artist to fix up my eyeshadow and my eyebrows. I was so tired, I could do with a power nap for a few minutes. "I'm almost finished anyway."

"If you're sure." Sara sounded uncertain, but I nodded my head. Sometimes it annoyed me, because I was her most popular model, but I worked tirelessly and so much more than everyone else. I never seemed to get a break. I was always at the studio for meetings or shoots and after Australia, it didn't seem to calm down. I wanted to focus on my own range for a while. It was important to me.

I felt terrible for insulting how many hours I worked. I signed up for this, I had to appreciate that my schedule would be busy, even if I didn't want it to be. Sara appreciated that I travelled to race weekends with Charles, even before we decided that I wanted to incorporate travelling into Love, Camille, and she gave me the weekends off all of the time. She also understood that I sometimes needed to have some time away from work to deal with my mental health, knowing that I'd been through a lot before she discovered me and signed me as a model. I was grateful to have her, but sometimes, I wished that I could be a twenty-two year old with a degree and a plan to go into a job which people perceived as normal. Some people thought I was stupid for ever taking up modelling as a serious career. They thought it was a waste of time and that I'd made the wrong decision, despite the fact that modelling made me happy and it paid very well.
