CAMILLE
"Felix, I told you, I want nothing to do with you," I exhaled, tightening the straps of my white gown which covered my scarcely clad body. The more I worked with him, the more I was beginning to dislike my job when I was needed at the studio. It was rare that I had a day of shoots in Monaco at the usual studio, simply because my team and I were very much focused on Love, Camille these days, but Sara organised this with me before the Dutch Grand Prix race weekend. I wouldn't say no and let her down, but working with Felix was becoming rather infuriating, especially now that I knew about his past with Dilara. The last time he brought it up into conversation, he tried playing the victim. I hated people like that. "We're professional here, but not outside of work."
Charles and I were perfect, maybe even better than ever. I never thought that arguing with him would lead us to secure our relationship so much. I refused to allow Felix to damage that. I already had to live with the fear of Stefan ruining my life when he turned all media attention to me. I had no idea what he was going to do, or say, but I knew I would be talked about. Article after article, it would all be about me, simply because I was so well known in the world of Formula One and outside of it. There was absolutely nothing I could do to stop him. Stefan held an unusual amount of power and I was afraid of it.
"I'm here to do my job. I don't have time to waste." I folded my arms across my chest, taking one final look at myself in the mirror. The curls in my hair were bouncy, my makeup natural yet striking and my golden tan was perfect. I felt rather thankful to be someone who could tan naturally because I was too lazy to ever think about applying fake tan to my body. I had my mama to thank for those genes.
"I'm not going to waste your time, I swear," Felix reached for my arm and I shivered when I felt his fingers make contact with my wrist. In a split second, I pulled myself away from him. I didn't want him to think he could touch any part of my body without asking, especially if it wasn't for the purpose of a shoot. "I just want to ask you about Max and Dilara."
"Why? Why do you need to ask about their relationship?" I lifted my eyebrow, internally complaining to myself as I thought about how obsessed Felix appeared to be over something that did not matter to him in the slightest. He looked at me awkwardly, chewing on his lip as he brushed his fingers through his styled hair.
"I know he's your best friend so you're going to be biased, but does he treat her right?" Felix's features seemed to soften. To an extent, I understood his concern about Dilara, considering they were once together. However, they weren't together anymore. They hadn't been together for a long time, considering Max and Dilara celebrated their one year anniversary already. It all felt rather unusual and a little suspicious to me.
"Of course he treats her right, he loves her," I rolled my eyes whilst reaching for my phone, smiling to myself when I saw a message waiting for me from my fiancé. With the venue booked and my dress all picked out, everything for the wedding was slowly but surely coming together. Charles and I spent time in the Netherlands thinking about our guest list and finalising it, with the invitation cards on the way. I couldn't wait to give them out to our family and friends. "I'm not asking any more questions about it, Felix. Max's relationship with Dilara is none of your business."
"Camille-"
"No, Felix. I'm not here to discuss other people's relationships with you. It's none of my business, to be perfectly honest with you," I pushed my phone into the pocket of my soft gown, my fingertips brushing over the material before I got carried away checking out my fingernails which had been freshly painted this morning. I just wanted to get these shoots out of the way so I could go back home to my fiancé. We were supposed to be in Barcelona right now, but I had this shoot scheduled in, therefore last night after the race, we flew straight back to Monaco, with plans to fly to Spain early tomorrow morning. "We have work to get on with. I'd rather be doing that right now than talking to you about Max and Dilara."
