It's almost been a year since my lover Shinobu left the demon slayer crops. No one knows why she left. Ever since the day she left, I've been trying to look for her, but no luck.
Master Oyakata-sama sent me on a mission to some forest place. I have been traveling to the place for about a day, soon arriving at the place. I walked inside the forest looking for a demon which master Oyakata-sama told me was an upper moon.
I saw a demon eating the human's blood and flesh. I stood in my stance and started using my sakura breathing form. Swinging my sword towards the demons head. The demon quickly moved out of the way. I landed in front of the demon, my back turned to the demon. I turn around now paying attention to what the demon looked like.
"S-Shinobu?" I said not believing it was her
"Y-Y/N?" Shinobu said shocked seeing me there in front of her
"Y/N is that really you!" Shinobu said walking towards you
"Don't come any closer!" I said putting out my hand in front of me motioning for her to stop
She stopped in her tracks, and looked at me and then charged at me. I jumped out of the way barley, her nails scraping my kimono. I breathed in some air, using my second breathing form. I swung my sword at her neck. She jumped up moving out of the way.
"Damn" I whispered under my breath
I landed on the floor gracefully, Shinobu did a kick black flip mid-air and landed on the floor. She then ran towards me scraping my check in the processes
"gah!" I said grabbing my check
"Oh? Did that hurt?" She said acting worried
"no..." I mumbled
"I really do hope you're okay!"

"Why'd you leave?" I ask
"Hmmm? Let's see?" Shinobu says putting a finger to her chin
"Ahh! I guess I never really liked you guys!" she said waving her finger around
"Do you mean that?"
"Yes!" she says cheerfully, "no not really.." she whispers
"You mean to tell me!" I say pointing a finger at myself, "You never really loved us? Never thought about us as a family!?" I say choking on my words
"No, not really." I did think of us as having a family (italics= mind)
"So we meant nothing? at all!?" I cry out
"no." she says emotionless but it did
"You're throwing away a year's worth of our love!"
"I know." I still love you!
"Gahh! You're making this confusing!" I say grabbing my head
"How?" She says tilting her head
"Just before you left you said you loved me!" I shout out, "You wanted a family with me.." I continue "I wanted a family with you!" I explain tears were now forming in my eyes
"I did?" of course, I wanted a family with you!
"I'm sorry!" I apologized
"Why do you have to be sorry?"
"I have to kill you," I say looking down tears are still falling out of my eyes
"Please do," Shinobu announces spreading her arms out
"What?" I say confused looking up
"I have done so many bad things in my life, " she starts "I want to be killed in the hands of the person I once loved..." she finishes "and still love" she muttered
"I can't" I shakily grab my blade
"you said it yourself!" she exclaims "You have to kill me!" she shouts "don't you?" Shinobu proclaimed
"I do.." I wept
"Then do it, love," she says smiling softly,
How I will miss that smile.
I walk towards using my breath that frees demons. I gracefully cut her neck off. Her head falls to the ground.
"I can finally be with one-san" She smiles
"Please tell Kano to take care of herself!" She yells
"I will!" I cry out
"Goodbye Y/N!" Shinobu softly says
"Goodbye!" I chuckle softly while crying
"I love you.." she says crumbling away
"I love you too." I muter
I wipe my tears away. A nice warm air hit me. I close my eyes enjoying the air, my hair blows up. I open my eyes turning around, then looking up.
"Goodbye Shinobu" I softly say
