A FIRM HAND gripped my arm and pulled me into the house. I snapped back into reality. "What the fuck, my guy?" My brows furrowed together in confusion.

Today's just been a confusing ass day. This is why stay away from people.

"What is she doing here?" Carly folded her arms. "Aren't you the new girl?" Asked the other girl. I nodded. The the guy standing next to her was hit with a realization it seems. "Oh! Your the girl who's locker we were blocking!" He smiled happy with this info. "Yeaaaah!" The girl added with the same smile.

"Still what is she doing here Xander!" Carlys eyes looked a bit scared. He gave her sympathetic eyes back. I looked between them not trying to mess up what the had going on over here. "I'm sorry to mess things up I was just giving back his pa-"

The front window shatters.

Everyone drops to the ground, hands covering the heads. I drop the pan and land on some fallen glass. Though I didn't cut myself. In the middle of the broken glass lies a brown brick with something attached to it. After the short screams everyone stood back up. Placing both hands in the floor, THIS time I cut my hand. "Shit" the crimson liquid started to slide down my hand. " Jesus, Valentine." Xander made his way to me, grabbing my injured hand. All eyes were on me until Carly spoke up.

She held the brick in one and a note in the other and read it " Next time.. I-it won't be a-a brick.." her voice hitched a certain parts. My face soften though my hand burned. Carly wanted to sob but that job was taken by the other girl. All Carly did was grip the note her hand as her face flooded with worry. The other dude held the crying girl. I looked over to Xander his eyes were sadden by the way his friends looked. He left my side and hugged Carly. Her hands didn't return the favor and a single tear slid down her face.

Okay... what the fuck am I suppose to do? Cry? Hug someone? Say something?

The air started to sting the living shit out of my hand and I winced in pain. "Uh so yeah imma leave now." I held the bloody hand. "Wait!" Xander shouted but I had already left the house, sprinting to my safer one. "Ow,ow,ow" I whispered running into the dark house.

Almost forgetting my dad was asleep I closed the door softly. Speed walking to bathroom down the hall bump into something turning the corner. "WHO THE HELL-" a hand covered my mouth. My eyes widen, my bloody dominate hand, without thought, punched the person in the nose. Since we were right in front of the bathroom, I turned on the light to see the intruder.

"Mikey!?" I whispered harshly. A little of my hand blood was on his face and his nose was bleeding. "Fuuuck" he groaned in pain. I frantically pulled him in the bathroom and gave him some toilet paper. I closed the bathroom door. "What the fuck are you doing my damn house, you fucking psychopath." He looked at me like I was crazy. Mikey started to say something my I tilted his back. "You have to keep you head up dummy." My voice was angry and sassy. "Then how would I explain properly stupid." He returned the sass. His head was semi up and the toilet paper was soaking with blood.

My right hand was burning more the eve and throbbing. I held it gently with my left and kneeled over in pain. "Oh shit." Mikey throw his soaked toilet paper away and grabbed my leaking hand. " Fucking Chirst dude!" He hurriedly turned the sink on. Gear shot through my eyes. "No, no way!" Much to my protest he shoved my hand under the running water. I sucked in a sharply and my eyes squeezing shut. "Do you have any rubbing alcohol?" He wiped his runny nose with jacket. I pointed to a cabinet.

"Now this going to burn, I'm going to count-"

"Just do it!" My eyes were still shut. No thought in he sight Mikey started dabbing my wound with alcohol. Once he was done he spoke up "We need to run to the store come on." He grabbed my elbow and and snuck out the front door.

A silent car ride later he had bandaged up my hand in front of the 24/7 store. The store was the only thing that looked like it didn't belong here. It lit up the side walk while everything sat in the dark around it. It was a corner store that I liked because it reminded me of my old town.

"Why were you in my damn house, Mikey

"Why were you in my damn house, Mikey." My voice was expressionless and my eye lids were low with annoyance. "Your brothers a lightweight, so I took him home." He held his head back. "You had to come in the house because..." I dragged out the last word, confused. "Because..." he copy my word mannerisms, " he could barely make it out of my car." I huffed. I felt a speck of regret for punching him. However, who WOULDN'T punch someone who put their hand over their mouth, in the dark, in THEIR house.

The air was silent as we just watch the store. I wanted to say something but I didn't. I want him to know that I'm sorry but my pride is a hell of a thing.

"Hey, uh, do you have a five I could get?" I didn't look him in his eyes. Though in corner of mine I saw that his eyebrows were in confusion. "I'll pay you back! I promise. It's just that I left my money at home." He looked at me with suspicion. "Here." He handed me the five dollar bill. "Hurry up!" Is what escaped the car before I shut the door. A smile was placed in my face. I walked into the air conditioned store. It smelt sweet and the lights were bright. Behind the counter was a older black man reading a hardcover book with no title seen.

I crossed through the store and turned right to the slushy station. I looked over my left shoulder to make sure the shelves hid what I was doing. A sly smile was on my face. "Shit, what flavor does he like?"

"Miss?" I jumped and turnt around. The older black man was behind me. "Yes?" He tapped the cherry logo and the cola of of the machine. "That's how you'll win that boys heart." His smile was genuine. Before he returned to the counter him patted me on the shoulder.

Okay. Cool? Well I know now what to get him.

Shortly I made my way to the counter, slightly hiding the drink of forgiveness. I looked out the window to see that Mikeys head was down and a whit light was shinning on his face, he was on his phone. "Here you go." I gave him a sincere smile while handing the bill to him. He returned it. His little a stubble raise as his cheeks did. He gave my the change. "And thank you sir for helping me." He gave off the warmest smile. "Oh no problem sweetie, you have a nice night." I shook my head agreeing and waved goodbye. But I felt like I was dismissing he kindness, so I went for a compliment. "Oh, yeah! Your store smells really good, I like that sweet smell." "It's because of one of those fancy air diffusers." He pointed and giggled. I returned the laughter. "Have a nice night, sir!" I chuckled, waving to him. I was satisfied how I made him giggled.
