Chapter 25 Preparing for Battle and Parents finally putting their foot down

13 July 1977
After returning home from work and picking up Lily from school Lynn Sr and Rita had a lot on their minds, Both did manage to get jobs with Lynn Sr being a Secretary and Rita managing to get a job as an operating room nurse they both have it as their coworkers still hate them and they did point out something the parents should've done 10 years ago  and that's be real parents and looking back on how their daughters acted they both finally realized how much they let their daughters get away with everything and often Lincoln was the one punished like the supermarket incident there's no way lincoln could wreak that much havoc on a store by himself and it's unlikely he was involved in it and the girls were all over the place that and other issues made them slap themselves in the face how they have been so lenient on them but hard as hell on Lincoln they decided to wait for the girls to comeback from their jobs which won't be long.

Lori and the others finally arrived 30 minutes later they all had to take the bus from their jobs Lori got as a waitress for the Savannah Blue restaurant in Detroit she applied for many restaurants but none especially those in royal woods wanted nothing to do with fearing she could chase away their customers before being picked up by Savannah Blue which has struggled a little since she was employed but nothing too worrisome

Leni was still jobless
Luna couldn't tie down a record deal because of her refusal to change her stage name and appearance from the few record companies who took a chance on her  and she had many doors slammed in her face from many record companies refusing to work with her based on her past actions and deeming her a flight risk
Luan tried to go back to comedy but it was a long shot as no one wanted her she decided to turn to acting and so far no one wants to give her a chance to audition despite her talent as directors and other actors threatened to leave the movie if she was casted
Lynn Jr had tried for a month to get signed by teams in the women's NFL, netball league and soccer and no wants her as they said sore losers are not allowed to compete she tried wrestling as her ticket but the two territories she tried out for WCW and NWA rejected her, so far nothing was
Lucy got a job as the Huntington Oaks Elementary school Librarian and part time poetry teacher like Luan she tried acting and she was rejected same with poetry
Lana got a job as a zookeeper at the local zoo
Lola was competing in Pageantry but she lost out in the qualifiers for the Miss America with Judges picking Lindsey Sweetwater, her fomer friend Roxanne and another girl over her she accepted the loss but has  sneaking suspicions that the judges were biased against her for her past actions
Lisa became the kindergarten teacher of Royal woods she wanted to move to higher grades but the school has more qualified teachers than her
Lily was currently in the 5th grade

Lynn Sr: Girls we would like to talk to you
Lynn Jr: Ok dad what do you need?
Rita: Your father and I have been thinking about Lincoln's place in the family since we were locked up and after we were released now we have decided to conduct our own investigation and to ask you a few questions and we want the truth in all of them got it!( The girls nodded) can you tell us why you all decided to disown him that one time?
Lori: ( Sighs) He made a video of us doing embarrassing things on the internet for a competition so he can win his own trophy and we were not amused and we wanted to pulverize him for it
Luan: He tried to make things right by embarrassing himself on the internet and we forgave him although he lost his crush since he kissed her photo in the video.
Luna: We were still mad at the dude for a few days for that
Lynn Sr and Rita: Guys are you all insane so for all of you to forgive for this one mistake you force him to humiliate himself?
Lori: But we didn't put him up to it
Rita: You guys were mad yes but you should've just resolved it like adults!
Lynn Sr: What do we do if we have problems with each other?
Luna: Talk it over and work it out?
Lynn Sr: Yes and you better apologize for that! now all of you explain to me why did you all prank Lincoln?
The girls explained their reason and of what they did to him in their pranks after that Lynn Sr and Rita were mad
Rita: So because he was wanting alone time you all thought it was a good idea to put him through all that and fill him up with fear!!
Lynn Jr: We were just playing with him
Lynn Sr: You don't threaten someone with what another person could do to them just for minding his own business!! Yes Lincoln ignoring you was wrong but you girls are just drama queens just because he didn't want to be bothered for one day you beat him up, torture him and use him like furniture while keeping him afraid of what Lola will do to him ( he look at Lori) like he committed a crime!!!
All the daughters looked down in guilt
Lynn Sr and Rita: Now tell us what was Lincoln's place in the sister fight protocol?
All the girls just looked at each other they all knew that he actually didn't have any place in the SFP and they looked at the parents before explaining how they kept Lincoln from making things worse
Lynn Sr: So you didn't tell him at all how that protocol worked and just expected him to keep out!!!
Rita: Girls would be happy if someone just denied you a snack and banned you from using the bathroom and watching tv and kicking you out of your room three times and taking your stuff without your permission for no reason every time you ask why they are doing that all you get is them yelling at you to stay out of it or threaten you with violence and then on top of everything else your told that you fixed everything by leaving!? would you like that?
The girls look down again
All the sisters: No
Rita: So how do you think your brother felt about that whole situation when you alk did that to him
The sisters felt sad and guilty after being reminded of one of their more infamous incidents with Lincoln
Leni: It was...unfair
Lynn Sr: Good but also sexist since you guys said he wouldn't understand
Lynn Sr and Rita: We might have acted as cowards when this happened but from now on The Sister Fight Protocol is over if any if you have problems with each other you go straight to me or your father understood!
Lori: Mom, With all due respect we are fucking adults we can handle our own problems ourselves
Rita: Nope like it or not this is our house and you follow our rules otherwise there's the door! we once trusted you with resolving your issues but misused it so until you earn it back that's how we'll deal with things!
Lynn Jr: But....
Lynn Sr: You heard your mother! now park it out now!!
Rita: Now let's start here Lucy is it true that your the one who clogged the toilet with that Princess pony book?
Lucy: Sigh yes it was me
Luan: So it was you?!
Lynn Jr: All this time we thought it was Lincoln!
Lynn Sr: Quiet! please continue
Lucy: Yes it was mine After Lincoln caught me with it he took me to the rest of the sisters and they promised to laugh and tease the reader of the book for eternity and Lincoln stepped in and took the blame for me and he missed his convention and took months of horrible teasings and insults all just for me, I read that book because even I need to get away from the darkness sometimes and I can't handle the teasing!!! ( tears streaming down her face) sniff
All the sisters felt guilty for making fun of Lincoln and for scaring Lucy
Lynn Sr: Alright now girls tell us everything you did that you blamed Lincoln for that got him unfairly punished!

For the next hour all the girls told their parents every bad thing they did individually and collectively that they deflected blamed to Lincoln for or when they ran him over with the bus just to save their skins even if he was far away from the house
Lynn Sr and Rita felt guilty for believing the girls and unfairly punishing him before getting mad at the girls!!!!
Lynn Sr: So none of you ever decided to confess any of the shit you pulled but decided to blame it on Lincoln!
Rita: That does it!! your all grounded for 3 and a half months!!!!
All the sisters: But mom!
Lynn Sr: No buts!!! your all forbidden from going anywhere other than work or school which means no going to the bar or the mall!!! Luan no auditions for a month and no more pranks do even one damn prank and your out in the street and it's legal this time since your ass and your asses ( he points at everyone except the twins and Lucy) are old enough to take care of yourselves and from tomorrow all of you will be helping me in the yard since it's the weekend and that's final!!!

Both parents head up before stepping on Cliff's tail the cat shrieks in pain  before hissing and running away
Lynn Sr: Who did that why is cliff alive?!!!
Lisa: It was me father I raised Cliff, Charles, Walt and Geo back from the dead and don't worry of any spirits or superpowers I gave them a special serum to keep them normal like they were but it's temporary it will only last until the 1st of January 2000 or until Lincoln comes back and forgives them whatever comes first
Lynn Sr: Alright but they better stay out of trouble!

Meanwhile with Lincoln
He trained as hard as hell for this fight and new it was do or die time If he beats Frazier then it will put him higher in the rankings currently he was an eighth ranked contender but a loss will be disastrous for his career as after doing a good audition for the role of Jack Bellicec in the movie Invasion Of The Body Snatchers the director said he wants Lincoln to win so he can be seen and taken as a serious person in the film industry the fight was set for August 12 1977 and Eddie Futch who is Lincoln's trainer left Lincoln's camp for Joe's camp saying he owed Frazier one Lincoln was forced to go with Angelo Dundee but dundee was busy with his client the champ Muhammad Ali was defending his title next month against hard hitting heavyweight Earnie Shavers who was ranked 6th in the heavyweight division so Eddie Futch decided to call number 2 ranked contender Jimmy Young trainer George Benton who was also Eddie's apprentice to work with Lincoln for the fight since Young was done fighting he already fought Ali and Loud previously in recent years losing both fights on points but they were both heavily disputed. Lincoln was coming off 2 wins into the Frazier fight after outpointing Neumann in March he fought journeyman Jody Ballard and knocked him out in the 1st round
After arriving home he was greeted by his 3 children Brandon, Liberty and Diana and their mother Christina
Christina: How was your day?
Lincoln: It was fine can't complain but I got a press conference with Joe Frazier tomorrow so I really wanna eat and go to bed so how was your movie shooting?
Christina: Ok I'll make dinner, it was great but I highly recommend you audition for Superman 2 we are gonna start shooting it after the first movie is completed
Lincoln: Ok I will and babe guess what the director for Invasion of the body snatchers told me?
Christina: What?
Lincoln: I must beat Joe Frazier to be taken seriously in the movie world
Christina: That's good enough motivation
Lincoln: Yeah
He sits down on the couch and watches tv before his blonde daughter approached him
Diana: Daddy?
Lincoln: Yes sweetie?
Diana: When are we gonna see Granny and Grandpa?
Lincoln: They visited last month honey
Diana: No silly daddy I don't mean that granny and grandpa from mom's family I mean the granny and grandpa from your family?
Lincoln got the shock of his life when his daughter asked him that this is gonna be a long night

AN: Done yikes Lincoln is in trouble at least one of his 3 kids is curious why they never met his parents how will he answer that? The parents finally stepping up and acting like real parents next chapter things will be heating up see you guys later bye
