Chapter 94 Preparing For Battle

11 August 1985

Luna was at the keyboard trying and failing to write a song as for her she was beginning to feel the eventual urge of independence as she did want to leave the band and strike out on her own one day but this could be career suicide as many talented and popular musicians fell into the trap of thinking that the screaming and adoring fans were only them and not the rest of the band or their managers find ways to seperate them or turn them against each other  and then out of anger members would've left the band to pursue a solo career only to realize after a while that they did need the band as their solo careers crash and burn now Luna knew that if she left the band prematurely it would end badly just like it did for the late Frankie Lymon who made the terrible mistake of leaving the teenagers 29 years ago and he's been deaf for 19 years now because of his choices so it's better for her to take the Michael Jackson route for her career and stay with the band for as long as possible until it can't no longer go anywhere which would force a band split.

Meanwhile with Lisa she was moderating some tests for the 3rd  exam of the year after summer vacation as she knew it's best to take advantage of this now rather than later so the Students are ready to hit the ground running.

Meanwhile with Lucy she was writing some poems in her spare time as she loved it as she was writing her thoughts then wondered and for some reason she kept thinking about the South Africa and it's ongoing Apartheid regime and the more she thinks about it the more she's surprised that her big brother Lincoln survived all that as he was right in the middle of the action but she's proud of him for making it out of there in one piece and to be doing so well in his life now.

Meanwhile with Lori she was at home taking a nap she just came back from work and was pretty exhausted and Bobby was gonna be gone all night and since she was very tired she decided to call in a favour from one of her friends to take care of the kids for a few hours so now the aforementioned kids were all at a friend's house so she had time to sleep she also ordered a pizza for herself and more for her family later.

Meanwhile with Luan following her wedding she was back at work as she was finishing her movies that she left for the wedding and they all had to be done by December but she was making good time as she and Jason wanted to go on a week long honeymoon in Europe but little does she know something big will alter her travel plans for her honeymoon.

Meanwhile with Lola she was doing well in films but now like Lucy was taking a break as the industry was pretty tiresome.

Meanwhile with The Heavyweight division here was the unchanged Top 10 heavyweight rankings of the heavyweight division.

Pinklon Thomas was threatening to climb back into the top 10 heavyweight contention as he stopped both fringe Contenders Michael Greer and Bruce Grandham in the 5th round respectively and won a unanimous decision against Leroy Boone which set him up as number 12 ranked contender.

Meanwhile with Gerrie Coetzee he was begining to recover after his two losses to Frank Bruno and Michael Dokes as he beat James Quick Tillis and then followed that up with a Split decision against David Bey and a first round knockout of a returning Steffen Tangstad sending the Norwegian back to retirement as Gerrie was now gonna take a rest from boxing until next year and hopefully to get bigger fights then the ones he's got now.

Frank Bruno was on a roll as he knocked out Reggie Gross in the 8th round and he just beat Joe Bugner to continue his quest for another title shot.

James Quick Tillis was beginning to improve as he avenged his previous loss to Joe Bugner as he would stop Bugner in the 8th round and he would win a Split decision against James Broad but he would be beaten on points by Mitch Green and then again by Carl Williams.

Carl Williams he knocked out Pencil Davis in the fourth round and then won a unanimous decision against James Quick Tillis and now he was gonna fight again in February of next year against Mitch Green.

Tony Tubbs got back to winning ways with a 3rd round stoppage of Eddie Gonzales an 8th round disqualification win over Eddie Richardson before Knocking out Scott Frank in the eleventh round which got him a fight against James Buster Douglas next year.

Mike Tyson following his impressive knockout against Randall Tex Cobb Tyson fought Alfredo Evangelista and knocked him out in the fifth round last month before signing to fight the winner in the Loud/Weaver rematch in November or December even though it's unclear at this stage who will win to get Tyson but one thing is for sure the fight would be something to remember.

Meanwhile with Lincoln he was at his training camp in Los Angeles a 2 hour drive from San Diego as he got ready for his big rematch against one of his previous conquerors Mike "Hercules" Weaver which was to be held in the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, he was currently lifting weights but after a while of that it was time for a section with the medicine ball and then later running on the treadmill and after that target practice with the trainers before a break and after the break it was sparring hundreds of rounds with different Sparing Partners.

He was finished with movies for the year and declined anymore this year as he wanted to focus fully on boxing as he knew can't slip up again.

Meanwhile with Christina and The Kids
The kids were all tucked away in bed by his wife when Lincoln finally returned from his long day of training

Christina was just coming back from another day at the office and tomorrow she had to go to the Cosby show to help promote her movies and answer some important questions.

Lincoln: So ( yawns) all the kids went to bed huh?
Christina: Yeah they did, they wanted to see their daddy but you came too late.
Lincoln: You know how work is Christina and besides I need to be at my best when I take on Weaver again as this was an important crossroads fight for me.
Christina: Ok so how was your day at work?
Lincoln: Horrible, After all the abuse I'm putting myself through if I don't win the fight against Weaver than I should call it a career
Christina: Yeah understandable so dinner is ready just go give your sons and daughters a goodnight kiss then come and eat and then turn in unless you wanna stay up

Lincoln: I don't think I'll be up to long as I got an early rise tomorrow as I have more training and then I must watch films of Weaver

Christina: Ok then let me dish up

After she dishes up for him and her she ate her food then retired to their room while Lincoln was eating his dinner and watching tv for an hour and a half before decided to also call it a night

AN: Done I know it's short but I made the story interesting as Lincoln is preparing for battle soon he'll fight with Mike Weaver and maybe Tyson but in the next chapter a certain killer will be exposed and two of the Louds will be involved in his capture please leave your thoughts on the chapter I'll see you later bye
