I slapped Clara. Oh no I'm in deep trouble. She looked so shocked as she held her cheeks in surprise. Then I did the only thing reasonable to me at the time. I ran. I ran past my friends. I ran past the tuck shop. I ran till my legs couldn't carry me anymore. I could not see where I was going anymore because of the tears clouding my vision. I tried to clear the tears and I saw a bench opposite me. It was then I realised I was in our school garden. I sat down on the bench n I cried. I cried so much that my eyes hurt. Why did all these have to happen to me. Why did Clara have to be soo mean. The word "weakling " triggered a lot of memories and Clara knew that. Clara knew all about me. She was the first person to know all about me. She knew things even Feyi and Teni didn't know. I could see the taunting look in her eyes when she called me a weakling. After what felt like hours I felt water pouring down. Rain was falling and I made no move to stand up. I just sat there and continued crying.
I first met Clara in jss1. A student in jss3 was bullying me and she defended me. She seemed soo cool to me. We were the same age but it felt like she was older. I would always walk about with her because I was still scared of getting bullied. She would come over to my house to have countless sleepovers and vice versa. We were inseparable. We were soo close and I began to tell her my story in bits. She comforted me and told me it will be okay. She told me she would always be by my side. Then why on earth did she leave. Why on earth did she have to do this. She knew how much I was trying to forget it. I know I've missed a lot of periods and it was past lunch time already but right now i don't care.
And then I started shivering
I should not have stayed under the rain. It was getting hard for me to breathe. I could hear my friends shouting my name. That was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.
