Today was Saturday which means I have until tomorrow before I leave home and go to hostel. Since I was leaving the house soon ,dad decided we should go out for the day.
Everyone woke up early anticipating where we were going. Dad said it was going to be a surprise.
I woke up around 8 am did the necessary things and by nine I was done. I was dressed in dressed in a top and leggings with a turban around wrapped around my head. I wasn't really a make up person so I just applied powder and lip gloss.when I got downstairs everyone was ready. It was funny how when it's time to wake up on a normal Saturday to do house chores everyone over sleeps. But when it's time for outing we all wake up early. Everyone was too excited yo eat besides mum had already packed breakfast for all of us. She packed sandwiches enough to feed ten people because she knew the rate at which we usually eat. She also packed boiled eggs and beverages. But me being me I still decided to eat some left over rice from the fridge.
When I was finally done it was around ten am. We got in to the car and sped off. I couldn't wait for what the day was going to bring.
The journey was not really long.I spent the time chatting with fey and teni. In no time I saw dad taking the route to the beach .To say I was surprised was an understatement. We never went to the beach because mum never liked it. She had a phobia for oceans and rivers .Obviously if she didn't like it she would never let us go. I kept wondering what dad could have told her to make her agree.
We layed down the mat we Brought from home and sat down. Mum and I brought out all the food and we began to dig in. I ate a lot despite the fact that I ate that morning in no time the food was gone. We rested a little then my siblings and I played around building sand castles. Mum and dad just sat there enjoying the waves of the ocean. Then we dragged them to play with us.It was a memorable moment.
Then it was time for dhur prayers. We looked for a nearby mosque to pray .
We went to have lunch at a nearby restaurant because the twins were getting hungry .After eating we rested on the car for a while before going to the movies.
Dad spent like thirty minutes searching for a movie that was suitable for all of us . In the process he got us ice cream .He finally chose one . When the movie was over we went home. We were all so full and tired .
