Major Characters

Evan Cooper (Kevin Costner)- A very successful actor who is looking to transition into directing. With his tall, rugged, yet chiseled features and mesmerizing smile and eyes, women fawn over his movies and sexy charm. Men wish to be him and love his "around the way" roles. He is a straight no chaser kind of man, with an endearing dry sense of humor. Sort of a former Hollywood playboy after marrying and divorcing early, he only had eyes for Kaila when he met her for the first time on set in a movie they were in. A very humble guy beyond it all, Evan believed in giving others in the industry a chance and to help mentor them into acting, as he feels it would help him in his craft of being a director. He is very dedicated to his wife and baby girl and boy (Aiden and Arianne) that they shared together.

Kaila Whitfield- Cooper (Whitney Houston)- Evan's wife; a very successful singer and budding actress. She has a once in a lifetime voice and "lightning in a bottle" talent. Drop dead gorgeous along with an enchanting personality, one can't help being in love with her talent, natural humor, wit, timing and her entire aura. She is a recovering substance abuser from the stress of the industry. She credits her relationship with God and Evan's support that got her through. Now she has stepped into the realm of motherhood after several miscarriages; she is happy to be taking a small break from the industry to have a family. She is deeply caring for those who she loves, with a no-nonsensical protective attitude when it comes to her family and friends. She is extremely loving and loyal to her husband. Kaila has two older brothers and one younger sister named Olivia (Liv), whom she is close with.

Ava St. James (Paula Patton)- An up and coming actress, with a mysterious dark past. She is strikingly beautiful, and vows to never use "the casting couch" to move up again. She wanted to be known for her talents only. She suffered secretly with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive personality and bipolar schizophrenia due to her past. After having one crappy relationship after the other with men who use her body and fame, she swore there weren't any good men... that's until she meets the handsome, legendary and talented Evan Cooper on the set of her movie. She had never met someone who was so kind to her for just being who she was. Evan mentored her on acting. She felt sparks never felt before and felt that he was the first person in her life who really believed in her for what she brought to the table. Falling in love with Evan, she knew that she had to be with him at all costs. In her mind, it didn't matter if he was married to the beautiful and talented Kaila Whitfield and that they had children together.

Supporting Characters

Liam(Bradley Cooper)- Evan's best friend and a producer. Although a perennial playboy, he is supportive of Evan's family life and it has him to thinking about settling down someday. He can tell something is off about Ava right away and tries to warn Evan about her.

Olivia/Liv (Joy Bryant)- Kaila's little sister. A feisty ambitious and pretty woman, she is currently wrapping up graduate school, along with being Kaila's assistant. She loves her big sister and brother law very much and is protective of them. She was currently divorcing her soon-to-be ex husband because he had a long drawn out affair.
