Jeongguk hovered behind Yoongi, looking at the older arranging roses and carnations on the shelf.
"Hyung, does the voice in your head sound like a girl's? Is it annoyingly high-pitched?"
"No, Gguk," Yoongi said exasperatedly, turning around to face the younger boy. "How many times do I have to remind you that the voice in my head sounds male?"
"But then, Miji isn't your soulmate! You should leave her!" Jeongguk said, half crying, wishing the older would understand him.
"Look here, young man." Yoongi pointed a threatening finger at the younger boy. "Miji is my girlfriend and we both love each other. We share a lot in common and we're very happy. Therefore, I have all rights to believe that she's my soulmate. And if you call her annoying one more time I will smack your ass to Jupiter."
"She's toxic for you, why don't you see that? She keeps hooking up with other guys while you're here at your shop, saving the best flowers to make special bouquets for her. She doesn't love you! She's only playing with your feelings, using you as an excuse to tell her parents about her whereabouts."
There was a heavy silence in the air as Yoongi glared at the younger.
"Jeon Jeongguk," he spoke in a dangerously low voice. "It's alright to believe in your stupid soulmate theory, but using that to convince me Miji isn't my soulmate and speaking nonsense about her is absolutely disgusting."
"Let me show you what's disgusting," Jeongguk said, fishing his phone out of his pocket and playing a video.
"Saw her last night while I was out partying with Yugyeom and BamBam." He thrust the phone into Yoongi's hand and sat back, watching the older.
Yoongi's face fell with every second of the video as he saw his girlfriend make out with random guys.
Jeongguk took his phone back to play a sound recording.
"Who's this? And why're you disturbing me with constant calls?" Came Miji's voice from the other end of the phone, followed by a sharp intake of breath and a moan, her voice getting muffled as she spoke to someone else.
"Hello, I'm speaking from JinHit Entertainment. We've been wishing to scout you for quite sometime, is it possible to meet you today eve-"
"I am NOT interested! Scout someone else, for fucks sake! You kept calling me for this? I'll let you know, you've disturbed a pretty intimate moment between me and my man, and I hope this haunts your memory and makes you rethink twice about calling someone on end!"
Jeongguk placed his phone on the counter and looked over at Yoongi.
"Remember Jin Hyung wanted to scout her? His secretary called her yesterday and he sent the recording to me. He found it funny because he thought Miji meant you, but I know it was someone else because I'd been talking to you at that time."
He paused and took a deep breath before continuing, "You heard the sounds. What was all that 'we'll do it after marriage' bullshit she gave you? She was out there doing another guy, telling you she was busy with work."
"I don't believe this," Yoongi said, his voice shaking. He sank down onto the chair, his head in his hands.
"Hyung, c'mere," Jeongguk said, moving around the counter to stand next to Yoongi. He engulfed the older in a tight bear hug.
"You saw it way before me, I should've believed you," Yoongi said, wiping his eyes and looking at Jeongguk. "Call her right now, Gguk."
Jeongguk seemed a bit taken aback but he dialled Miji's number and handed the phone over to Yoongi.
"What the hell do you need, Jeon?" Came Miji's irritated voice.
"It's me, Yoongi."
"Oh, h-hi. Do you need something, Yoongi?" She said, putting on a falsely sweet voice.
"I do. I need a breakup."
"W-what? Why?"
"Since you're pretty much getting everything you desire from other guys, I don't see a point of me being there anymore," Yoongi said sarcastically.
There was silence at the other end. It was a few seconds before Miji spoke again, all sweetness gone. "So you know, huh? Fine with me. You're such a bore, Yoongi. I'm glad to get rid of you," she said and hung up.
Yoongi sank down onto the chair again. "After...after everything I did..."
Jeongguk put his arms around the older again. "Let go of everything you have with her. Don't let her hurt you, Hyung, please. You'll find someone you deserve, someone who'll love you more than you'll love them. It's not easy, but forget about her. It'll be okay, slowly but surely."
"What would I do without you, Gguk?" Yoongi said, smiling up at the younger.
"You'll be a lonely crybaby, what else?" The younger laughed as Yoongi playfully hit him.
"So would you, so shut it," Yoongi said, laughing along.
"Touché," Jeongguk said, still laughing as a boy with soft, light brown hair entered the shop.
"Hi, I'm Jung Hoseok," the boy said, holding out his hand for Yoongi to shake.
"I'm Yoongi, and this is Jeongguk," Yoongi said, shaking his hand.
Hoseok smiled at the two, a bright dazzling smile that seemed to light up the whole shop, feeling as bright as the sun. "It's my mom's birthday, and I thought I'd gift her flowers in her favourite colour, blue."
"Blue. Hmm. I'd suggest a bouquet of blue orchids and white roses. It'll look pretty."
"Sounds perfect."
"You can collect it by 4pm," Yoongi told him as Hoseok paid him the money. As the boy made to leave the shop, he paused, his fingers on the door knob.
"Yoongi... right?"
"Have we met before?" The two chorused together, Jeongguk looking at the two of them in turn, his head moving as if he were watching a tennis match.
"You feel so too?" Hoseok asked, looking at Yoongi with surprise.
"I...I think so. I mean your voice sounds familiar though I don't have a memory of ever meeting you."
"I know right? I wonder why... Perhaps we could meet up later about it? I've got to go, I'll pick up the flowers by 4," Hoseok said, giving the two a final bright smile and leaving.
'Voice, huh,' Jeongguk thought to himself, looking over at Yoongi who seemed completely bewildered. 'I guess Hyung's found someone much before I could ever expect.'
