*The Next Morning. Y/N'S POV*

The sun's light filled the bedroom in rays that came in between the blinds of the window. The dust particles in the air flew around, dancing in the streams of light. My eyes opened slowly. I blinked a few times, trying to get used to the change of light in the room. My body hurt. It ached due to yesterday's events. Serena's head was beneath my chin, her face buried into my chest., I stroked the back of her hair as I smiled to myself before sighing.

"Mmmm...mmm." I felt Serena moving around in her sleep as she finally opened her eyes. I pulled my head back as she looked up at me with a small smile.

"Morning, sunshine."

"Mor..ning. My everything hurts..." She groaned a bit.

"Yeah, same here. Yesterday was... a lot of work."

"But it worked out in the end, didn't it? We got Connor back, and everyone's alive." She got out from under my head and sat up, stretching her arms in the air. The light from the sun made her hair seem like strands of gold.

"Yep..." I got up and did the same, stretching my own arms.

"Mind making breakfast? I'm gonna go see how Connor's doing."

"Alright. Whatcha hungry for?"

"Mmmmm.. can you make waffles?"

"Sure can do." Little did she know, I had a surprise for her. I got out of bed and put on a lazy t-shirt to go with my pajama pants. I went downstairs to brew some coffee. I turned on the TV. I didn't care what was playing, I just wanted some background noise. After I finished making my coffee, I started making the waffles. With Cowboy Bebop playing quietly in the background, I finally finished the Waffles, putting them on three plates. Soon, Serena came down the stairs, with no sign of Connor with her.

"Where's Connor?" I asked her.

"Still asleep. I tried waking him, but he just wont wake up."

"Kid must be tired."

"Yeah, he must have used a bunch of energy to revive you. He might be asleep for a long while." She explained.

"I see, just let him sleep. Let's eat, shall we?"

"Alright." She sat down at the table and noticed that the waffles weren't round.

"Man I'm starving." I said, sitting down next to her.

"Awww, that's so cute! You made them into hearts!" She smiled happily. I chuckled to myself for my idea as we started eating.

"Is it good?"

"Yeah! It's great. Hey.... before when we were talking about you being revived..."

"Huh? What about it?"

"What.. was it like being dead, if you don't mind me asking?"

"God sent me to O'Brian and Iris."

"W-What?! Really?!" Her face showed a bit of awe and shock.

"I woke up in a yard at a house I didn't know. I was 16 again. I went to the door and knocked and there stood Connor and Iris, the same age as when we all broke out of Site-19. They let me inside and I told them all about what happened with us after they passed on."

"What did they say?"

"They were proud of us. They were happy that we were happy and living a life together, with a kid even." Serena sat there and smiled to herself knowing that her friend, Iris and Connor O'Brian were happy in heaven together.
