Chapter 25

Naira's POV

I was sitting at the edge of the bed playing with my fingers and looking at the time simultaneously. I was having an unknown feeling, my anxiety and nervousness were at the edge, a message popped up on my screen at exactly 9pm telling me that my ride is here. I grabbed my clutch and checked my make-up and went downstairs.

There was a car waiting for me, the driver opened the door for me, I nodded and sat inside. The engine was brought to life , the rumbling sound of the engine brought chills on my back, I don't know why, it never happens.

We've been travelling for 45 minutes.

" When we'll reach?, I thought the place was nearby?" I asked the driver

" Ma'am we'll reach soon" he said in an impatient tone

I checked my phone and saw that there was no signal in it and suddenly the road became bumpy.

" Are you sure this is the right way?" I asked again , and suddenly the driver turned around and sprayed something, the last thing I saw is the smirking face of the driver and then the darkness engulfed me.

Kartik's POV

Those three days of vacations turned out to be a hectic weekend for us , see that's why girls don't trust us to plan anything.

After the shooting incident at the campsite, we boarded my jet immediately and came back home, there was a lot of work to do. So I didn't get the time to properly talk to Aisha in the last 12 hours, that's why I planned this special evening for us , I would finally confess everything to her and ask her to be my girlfriend, it sounds cheesy for me. Don't blame me, love made me crazy.

It was more than hour, where is she?, I decided to call security to ask about her.

" Where's Aisha??" I asked

" Sir , Ma'am had left an hour ago " he replied

Panic travelled through my whole body , where is she then?

" Who was the driver and the car?" I asked

" Sir our regular driver and the car" he replied

" Track them both!!" This time I shouted at the poor man, but I don't care anymore, I want Aisha!!

Then a message popped up on my screen

- I'm really sorry Kartik, I have to go back to my hometown because I don't want to stay here anymore.

Even after reading the message, I didn't calm down, I called her but the other line was switched off, I went back to my mansion and saw the driver standing there

" Where is she??" I asked grabbing his collar

" Sir Ma'am abruptly told me to take her to the airport" he said in scared tone

" Which flight" I said in a stern voice

" Blue Airlines " he said and I left his collar and went to James' s room

I knocked hardly on his door , he opened immediately .

" By looking at your face , I can guess it's something serious" he said

I nodded and said " Find Aisha Cooper in Blue Airlines" I said , I rarely use her full name but right now I was furious with her, she left me without even a proper good bye, she could have called me but she just left.

" Here!!" James shouted and I went to have a look at the screen

" The flight took off at 9:30pm" James said

" I can read " I said

It was clearly written there , there was Aisha's name who has booked the flight at the last minute, she really left me.

" What happened Kartik?" James said grabbing my shoulder

" Nothing " I said

" Why Aisha left?" He asked

" She left a note saying that she doesn't want to stay here anymore" I said shrugging my shoulders

" You can tell me anything, after all I'm your brother" he said looking concerned

"It was nothing, I told you" I said getting frustrated

" You're not telling me because, I'm adopted" he said making a gloomy face

" You do not get to play that card , you get that!! You're my brother , it doesn't matter if you're adopted or not , you get that?" I said grabbing him by the shoulders

He just nodded

" We should rest , I'll tell you everything tomorrow" I said and went out.
