There were so many comments in the last chapter that it was becoming impossible for me to reply to all of them, I'm very happy that you all are liking my story, Thank-you!!
Naira's POV
My throat was dry, I was craving for water right now but it's like something heavy is kept on my body and I can't get up. Somehow I managed to move my fingers and then gradually I opened my eyes, the light blinded me.
" Just a minute, I'm dimming the lights" a voice said
After the lights were dim, I was finally able to open my eyes, I looked around and noticed that I was in my room still in my dress.
" How are you feeling?" Rohan's voice came.
" Heavy?" I said looking at him , he was also in his tuxedo.
" Naira I'm serious" he said in a stern voice.
" This is me serious!, But what happened to me?" I asked still not able to remember
" You fell from the balcony, but luckily you just fell on the first floor balcony, so not much damage is done" he said
And then I remembered everything, from the introduction , dance and then the unfortunate meet with 'him'.
" I'm so sorry Rohan, I ruined your birthday party " I said , and a guilty emotion passed through Rohan's eyes. He immediately stood up from my side and started pacing around
" What happened? " I asked him
" Your right arm is fractured" he said in a whisper but my ears caught it.
My eyes widened when the words registered, I immediately tried to lift my right arm but a shooting pain made me keep it down again. Rohan immediately came to my side and hugged me.
" It's ok , it will be fine in 2 weeks or so" he said
" But..but you know , I won't be able to do anything, ANYTHING" I shouted the last part, I won't be able to fight , paint but most importantly, I won't be able to plan my brother's wedding.
I felt a little wet on my shoulder
" Are you crying Rohan?" I was surprised, he always tries to keep a happy face, he never worries about something.
" No no..." He said wiping away the tears
" So how did you find me?" I asked
" A security told us about you, so we immediately rushed to the balcony and found you lying there unconscious, there was a lot of chaos, mother was in tears, father was constantly blaming himself for introducing you, because one minute you were introduced and the next minute you were lying unconscious so it got us worried" Rohan said
" Why was he here?" I asked
Rohan looked at me with confused eyes , " You know who" I said
He chuckled " Dad has resolved all his issues with him" he said
" How? And why?" I asked
" Well only dad could tell you about it" he said
.................
I was so tired after bathing and getting ready, ofcourse Laurel and my mother helped me, then we all went downstairs with my arm in a sling.
" Where's dad?" I asked
" He's in a meeting and your brothers too" mom said
I just nodded and went to settle on the couch, then I surfed through Netflix and decided to watch Teen Wolf , I really love that show.
I was in the mid of a scene where Stiles was making some sarcastic comment but it was interrupted with the sound of footsteps. I turned around but I immediately regretted the decision, I came eye to eye with James and then Kartik , and they were talking to my father and shaking hands. What?!
And to my surprise they both came and settled on the adjacent couches. I ignored them and kept my gaze on Stiles.
" Ms.Naira Jones" Kartik said smoothly
He still had the guts to say my name after what he did to me yesterday.
" Ms.Naira Jones" he said again , it's like he was trying to prove a point, I really want to smack him on the face right now.
" It's funny how can a person change so much" he chuckled
" What are you still doing here" I snapped, my gaze still on the screen
" Your daddy dearest and I are having a major business deal, and he has invited us to stay " he said
I was beyond shocked, I looked at James through the corner of my eye and saw him emotionless. Kartik stood up and bended at my level
" In this house" he whispered in my ear, I felt a current travel down my body, I tried to hide the effect from him.
I wanted to avoid him but see, and in that moment only one thought came in my mind' Karma is a bitch!'
