(Author's note: I feel like this song really fits with RamKing so I added it here. Have a listen!)

Ram frowns as his heart begins to beat faster. He was just checking his messages when he received one from King. King. His handsome senior. He had been surprised, and more than a little annoyed, when King first started approaching him a few months, but now he was grateful. King had helped him with his studies many times and always managed to cheer him up when he was sad. Recently, however, he was becoming shyer around King again. It was different than before though. His heart would start to pound, his palms would get sweaty, and his brain would sort of shut down. It would take him a minute to get used to King's presence before he could think again. This feeling was starting to make him panic so he had decided to avoid King as much as possible. His finger was hovering over King's message as he hesitated. Finally, he decided to check it.

King: "Hey cool boy. Do you want to meet up to study?"

Such an innocuous message, but it still made his heart race. Sighing, he closed his phone and grabbed his stuff, deciding to head home. If King was finished with class, it would be best that he didn't remain on campus. King may find him.

Ram followed this same routine for several days, ignoring King's texts and rushing home to avoid him.

King was getting irritated. He could see that Ram had seen his messages; he just wasn't replying. He hadn't seen Ram for days and he found he was missing his weird junior. It was starting to drive him crazy and his sour mood didn't go unnoticed by his friends.

"What is up with you?" Boss asked outright on the fourth day that King was being ignored by Ram.

"Nothing," King sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Mek asked clearly concerned about his friend.

"I said I'm fine."

The friends glanced at each other, exchanging looks at King's sharp tone. He was clearly not fine. Bohn was about to join the discussion when he noticed his boyfriend, Duen, walking towards their table. His greeting was cut off by King.

"Duen!" King yelled excitedly, jumping out of his seat and rushing over to Duen.

Bohn frowned. King may be his friend, but that reaction was a little suspicious. Bohn was starting to get jealous, so he stood up to join them. As he neared them, he realised King had grabbed Duen's hands and he started getting angry but when he heard King's words he got confused instead.

"Please, please, please, Duen. Tell me, tell me. I wanna know where Ram is," King was almost begging Duen for the whereabouts of his friend.

"Uh, King, I think he's at home. Why don't you message him?"

"He's ignoring me."

"Oh, why?"

"I don't know!" King shouted in frustration, scaring Duen with his volume.

Bohn wrapped an arm around Duen and hauled him closer, "Calm down, King."

Realising what he had done, King felt guilty, "I'm sorry, Duen. I'm just frustrated. I didn't mean to take it out on you."

Bohn glared at him while Duen gave him a smile and a nod, "Ram can be quite closed off sometimes. I can text him if you like."

"You will? Thank you, thank you, Duen!"

Once they were sitting down with the rest of their friends, Duen took out his phone and texted Ram. King was nearly bouncing in his seat next to Duen. His friends were now exchanging looks of confusion. It seems King's bad mood had something to do with Ram?

"He texted back."

"Really? What did he say?"

Duen frowned a little, "He says that you should stop bothering me. He'll be here soon. He was in the library."

King was too excited that he was going to see Ram that he completely ignored the scolding comment Ram had made.

"Why are you so happy?" Tee couldn't contain himself any longer.

"Mmm?"

"You're this happy when you get to see Ram? Maybe your sister was right."

Tee's comment had attracted the attention of the whole group. They had all seen King's sudden mood swing when he realised he was getting to see Ram. King didn't answer. He wasn't sure why he was this happy either.

"What do you mean, Tee?" Boss asked, hungry for some gossip.

"King's sister said that King and Ram are dating."

"WHAT?!" Everyone in the group yelled, turning to look at King almost in unison.

"That's not-" King started to answer but trailed off as he noticed Ram walking towards them.

Ram looked tired. His tie was loose, and his sleeves were rolled up, revealing his muscular forearms. The eyes though. Ram's were dull with big bags underneath them. Normally, King could get some hint of what Ram was thinking through those eyes, but now he was getting nothing. They weren't cold, just sort of empty. King didn't like it.

His friends, who had just heard him starting to deny that he was dating Ram, were stunned when he stood, striding towards Ram and grabbed his face in his hands.

Ram was in shock. He blinked rapidly and his face began to flush. King's soft, warm hands were on his face. And King's face? King's face was so close to his. Ram couldn't jerk his eyes away from King's.

"You haven't been sleeping," King was angry, his volume loud enough that his still stunned friends could hear.

Ram wasn't sure what to do. It was true. He hadn't been sleeping. It was because he missed King and felt guilty for avoiding him, but as soon as he thought of just deciding to see King again, he would panic. So, Ram stood in silence, waiting for King's next move.

King was staring into Ram's eyes trying to discern what he was thinking. They were no longer dull, but he still wasn't sure. Sighing, he let Ram go. At least Ram was looking more alive now. It was only when he saw a sea of widened eyes and open mouths as he turned to his friends when he realised what he had done. He felt a little guilty for grabbing Ram like that. King glanced back at Ram who seemed frozen in place. With another sigh, he tugged Ram's wrist and pulled him towards the table. He had to push Ram to sit down. His junior was completely unresponsive.

"I think you broke him," Boss murmured, waving a hand in front of Ram's face.

Frowning, King swatted it away, "Leave him alone."

At this point, not only King's friends really wanted to know what was going on but also Duen. Ram had not mentioned anything about King to him.

Suddenly, Ram's head thumped face first onto the table. He had no idea what was happening. This was insane.

"Ram?" King was concerned at Ram's action. The sound of Ram's head hitting the table had been very loud, it must have hurt.

"Mmm," Ram groaned a little, turning his face, still on the table, towards King and blinked sleepily at him.

King laughed, reaching into Ram's backpack to pull out of the travel cushion he knew Ram kept in there.

"Lift," he ordered Ram who moved his head slightly off the table, following his command.

King pushed the cushion under Ram's head and Ram let his head drop onto it. As Ram began to fall asleep, he could vaguely hear Boss exclaim, "What the hell is going on?"
