"Here we are. The living version of hell." I groaned. Ginny and I looked up at the sign that hung above the bakery that had the words HOGSMEADE BAKERY written on it.
"If this is hell then it smells delicious..." She gazed off into the window that displayed some desserts. I rolled my eyes, grabbing her arm and dragging her inside.
The bell above the door rang as we entered, causing my mom to perk up from the oven behind the counter. A smile grew onto her face.
"Oh, you came!" She clasped her hands together, looking over at Ginny.
"Ginny! How are you?" She asked."Im good, thank-"
"I think she's alright, mother." I interrupted. Once mother started talking to someone, she never stopped. The smile on mother's face slowly faded away as she looked out the window.
"Now I just don't understand the deal with Honeydukes." She scoffed, throwing a rag onto the counter and quickly starting to clean, cursing under her breath.
"I've been working here longer than them. And not to mention, their treats are disgusting and not healthy what so ever!" I crossed my arms."Mother, people just fancy it more. The only people who come over here are professors and-"
The door opened, causing the bell to ring. We turned around to see-
"Malfoy."
"Hello there! Can I get you anything, young man?" My mother asked in a sweet, high voice. Malfoy smiled, stepping up to the treats that were displayed in a display case in front of the counter.
"Oh, hi Y/n." He greeted. I ignored him, looking around the bakery awkwardly.
"Ginny dear, help yourself to a treat. Y/n, get over here right this second!" She said.
"This is why I never come, mother..." I muttered. As I walked over, Malfoy looked up.
"You own this place?" He asked in disbelief. I nodded.
"Yeah. And go make yourself happy and go down to Honeydukes. This place is for boring people." I gave him a stone cold glare as I left into the kitchen. Mother turned on the faucet.
"Wash these plates clean. Any speck of dirt on them and I'll have you come down tomorrow again!" She threatened. My face turned red in distraught as I furiously scrubbed the plates.

I finally finished after a few minutes, but it felt like hours. I made sure every dish was polished clean to avoid any more embarrassment.
"Thank you! Come again!" I heard my mother call out.
Great. He bought something.
"Mother, can you-"
The door opened again, the long, broad footsteps stepping in. I froze as I realized them.
"Good morning, professor." I heard Ginny squeak out nervously.
"Severus! Welcome back!" Mother welcomed.
"Good morning, M/n." His monotoned voice greeted. I listened closely.
"I need to talk about... Something." He added. I frowned in confusion. What does he mean by that?"Er.. Alright. Okay. Follow me." Mother whispered. I heard her get closer to the door. I quickly leapt to the sink, turning on the faucet to seem like I was still in the middle of washing.
The door opened, and in came mother with Snape looming behind her.
