║ DETENTION ║

My classes were over and I was finally able to have the whole day to myself. I started to think of things I could do.

Maybe I could hang out with Hermione, Ron and Harry? Or maybe I could spend some time outside. Oh, doing that with my book would be amazing.

Wait. My book. The one Snape gave me. I completely forgot about Snape's detention.
I looked around, spotting one of the girls from my dormitory doing some work, leaning against the wall.

"What time is it?" I asked. She furrowed her brows.

"What?" She put down her quill.

"The time. What time is it?" I asked again, losing my patience. She looked down at her wrist, squinting.

"About 5:11." She read out. My eyes widened.

"Thanks!" I quickly ran off, pushing some people out of the way, quietly apologizing of course.
Snape's classroom was all the way across the school from where I was, and it'd take me minutes to get there. I'm already late as it was, and I didn't want to be any more late.

"Y/n! Wanna head to the library?" Hermione called out. I shook my head, rushing past.

"I have detention!" I shouted. I kept running, not letting anything in my way stop me.
From students who were slowly walking back to their dorms to people chasing each other playfully, I dodged them all.

Someone pushed into me, causing me to trip. I caught myself before I could hit the ground.

"Watch it, ass!" I said. The footsteps followed me, causing me to go faster. I didn't have time to fight about pushing.

"L/n, where are you off to?"

Draco.

I rolled my eyes.

"No where!" I replied, turning a corner. He quickly caught up, walking next to me.

"You have detention too?" His face scrunched up. I looked away.

"What, does one of your friends have it? Feel like playing around while Snape berates me for attacking you?" I moved my head side to side as I spoke in a sarcastic tone. Draco's mouth opened, but nothing came out until a moment later.

"No, Snape gave me detention for pushing you around." He replied.

"What?" I nearly stopped, but kept going to save time. Draco nodded.

"Yeah, appearently." He added.
My heart started to beat harder than it usually did. My cheeks went red.

Just before I was about to embarrass myself in front of Draco, we reached Snape's class.
The door was closed shut, having me to knock.

I slowly knocked as hard as I could to get a sound to come off the door. Draco frowned as he watched.

"Give it here." He pushed me away, knocking on the door. It filled the hall with a booming sound, making me jump.

"Come in." Snape's voice came from inside. Draco grabbed the doorknob, opening the door. I stepped behind him as it opened.

"Mr. Malfoy." Draco stepped in. I stepped in after him, shutting the door behind me.
"... And Ms. L/n. I see you made your way here with Malfoy." I gave him a nod, quickly taking a seat.

Snape got up from where he was sitting, his cape bouncing behind him as he came up to the table I sat at.

"Malfoy. Come here." He commanded. Draco came over, stumbling a bit as he came to my table, taking a seat beside me. Snape took a step back, looking at us.
"There was no reason for both of you to run late to my detention." He averted his gaze over to me, his cold, black eyes practically staring into my soul.
"Since Ms. L/n has already gotten a mouth full from a howler this morning, Mr. Malfoy, I suppose I'll start with you first." He stepped in front of Malfoy.
