It's Sunday.
I stared at the ceiling motionless. I felt like crying; I could already see the meet-up go down in my head...
I shook it away. I can't think about this right now; I just need to continue my day normally until 6. I took a shaky breath.
I sat up, looking out of the window. It was cloudy and it looked like it would rain at any moment.
I looked around the room. Everyone was asleep, even Hermione, who tended to wake up early.
I reached down to my case and grabbed my book, skimming through the pages. I stopped at the first page where Snape's little note was written.
I stared at it.I wanted to rip it out so badly. I would've never had to find out about the stupid Death Eater thing if he didn't show up, but I guess mother's bakery is a safe house for Slytherins and Death Eaters...
I flipped to the page I left on.
Today was a pajama day. A well deserved one too.
*×*
I glanced at the clock every few seconds. It was almost 6 and I had to get ready.
"Are you scared?" Hermione asked, unfolding a shirt she still had packed in her bag. I shrugged.
"I don't know." I sighed, grabbing the dress that was laid across my bed. It looked atrocious.
"Jeez, who made this?"
Hermione looked over, stifling a laugh."Is it supposed to be made for a Slytherin?" She asked. I furrowed my brows.
"But my mother was a Gryffindor, though. How could she wear this?" I questioned. How could you be a Gryffindor and become a Death Eater? It makes me feel like a traitor...
"Were your grandparents Slytherins?" She said, closing her suitcase and slowly stuffing it underneath her bed.
"I think so. They've been Slytherins for generations, for all I know, before my mother broke the chain." I exclaimed. I looked at the clock for the last time.
"5:43. I need to get ready." I picked up the dress and the accessories mother gave to me.*×*
I finished dressing up. I felt like a mess from being packed into this tight dress.
I looked in the mirror.
I sure did look like a 'proud' Slytherin.I left the bathrooms and entered into the halls of the school. Thankfully it was empty. I didn't want to be clowned by other students.
The silver heels clicked against the marble flooring, making me cringe. That just brings more attention.
Broad footsteps came from around a corner that was behind me, causing me to turn around, my dress billowing along.
I tensed up as I saw who it was.Snape was striding down the hall. As he spotted me his brows furrowed in confusion and slight disgust. I copied his expression, looking down at the dress.
"Miss L/n. You look... Interesting." He looked me up and down, his robes coming to a stop behind him after frilling about. I nodded.
"Yeah, it sure is... Something." I replied as he looked behind him as if looking out for someone to come out of nowhere.
"I suppose we should be going. Your mother had to leave early and asked me to take you to the Manor instead." My eyes widened in sudden surprise. A manor? I mean, I get that we had to have a meeting somewhere, but I never expected a manor; manors are huge and would most likely grab attention. But I cut my thoughts away and spoke, not wanting to leave Snape waiting in a temper.
