The door was made up of translucent glass. Fortunately, the boy didn't break the glass to get in but stood outside, smiling at him. On a normal day, that smile would have looked bright and sunny but right now, it made a chill run down his spine.
"Later." He mouthed at Peter and dragged the axe away down the dark corridor. Peter was on a terrace behind the house. He sat back and slid down the railing, heaving a sigh of relief.

Downstairs, Tyson and Mia were rushing through corridor, looking for a place to hide and tools to fight. All the bullets in their guns had been used and none was able to hurt the two, they dodged them all. Mia couldn't fight because of her arm and shoulder. They hadn't felt so defenceless in their whole lives.
Devin was holding back Ella in the lounge so the little kid was after them.
"Don't run!" The cute voice came from just around the corridor. Tyson pulled his hair in frustration. The kid seemed to find them wherever they tried to hide. His voice was the biggest jump scare whenever they found a good hiding spot.
"What to do? Where do we hide now?!" Mia held her shoulders and rubbed them like she was shivering, her previous confident look was replaced by nervousness and fear.
"Tyson! Mia!" They saw Lucas running down the stairs and coming towards them, looking equally haggard and worried. Mia saw him and almost burst into tears.
"Lucas!"
He saw the condition his teammates were in and was shocked. He held Mia's shoulders and gave her a concerned look.
"How-how did this happen?" He looked at Tyson's bleeding arm and was similarly confused. Mia held back her sobs and told him about what happened.
"That girl started attacking us then came a little boy who didn't think twice before stabbing Tyson. Lucas, who are these psycho brats?!"
Lucas was startled and told them about the young boy who tried to kill them with an axe. Tyson and Mia looked at each other's eyes which were filled with horror.
"What do we do now?" Mia became frantic and looked at Lucas but he was clueless as well.
"Where's Devin?"
"He's fighting the girl. I'm surprised he can hold off against her for so long." Tyson shivered remembering how he faced off against her and badly failed.
"Me and Tyson were trying to look for tools to fight. Guns don't fucking work on them!"
Lucas nodded, "That's a good idea, then we can fight that axe boy. It'll be three against one."
"But I'm right here."
The voice interrupted them as they looked up in unison. The long haired boy walked out of a room with an axe in his hands
The three of them looked at his bloodied clothes with horror.
"Peter..." Lucas muttered as he looked at the blood on his shirt, a horrible hunch formed in his mind.
"Run!" He shouted, his eyes were blurred with tears as he helped Tyson up and ran with him.
The boy chuckled and shook his head. He lifted the axe and dashed after them madly. The three of them pushed a double door open and entered another lounge but this one was more lavishly decorated with leather sofas and glass tables, but it was a dead end. Lucas ran up to the sliding window and tried to open it. It took him quite a while before he pried it open. By the time he was done, the boy had reached the door, and was looking at them with the gaze of a predator looking at its prey.
He lifted his axe and swung it towards Tyson who was the closest. Tyson covered his head and screamed. He dodged the first swing but his waist couldn't escape. A deep cut was formed in his waist because of the axe. The second swing would definitely take his life. Just as the axe was lifted the second time, someone came out of nowhere and pushed the boy hard. He fell on top of the glass table in the room which shattered under him.
The person was none other than Jack. He stood near a hidden passageway which was revealed behind a bookshelf, beaming proudly. He closed the hidden passage and rushed up to them.
"Jack!" Lucas shouted excitedly.
"Glad to teach this brat a lesson." He gave a disgusted look at the unconscious body of the twelve year old boy lying on the broken glass. Parts of his body that were cut by the glass were bleeding.
Jack picked up the axe that was dropped by him and swung it around, "I'll take that." He looked at the boy and gave an evil smirk, "How about we end him here?"
"We can't kill him like this, he needs to be handed over to the authorities." Lucas shook his head, "Let's get out of here. Devin must need our help."
They ran out of the room and closed the door. After they were gone, the boy opened his eyes. He sat up on the glass, his eyes were filled with fury and rage, the polar opposite of his previous smiling look.
"Those thieves have such guts!" He looked over to the window that over looked the backyard. He saw a figure jumping down the terrace and smiled with a hint of viciousness in his eyes.
