There are two things I can do, I could cancel tonight and wallow in misery at the thought of luka and Marinette. Or I could go on with tonight and pretend my heart doesn't fall apart every time we make eye contact. I pick the skin on my pointer finger as I pace back and forth in my living room.

lll cancel tonight. I'll just say I'm feeling sick. Yeah ill do they were looking forward to this i can't just take that away from them.

A knock on the door pulls me away from my thoughts. Fuck, im too late. I head towards the door and brace myself for what im only assuming could be a terrible night. But to my surprise it's not Luka at the door but a cheery Maddie. "Hey bitch i brought some snacks" she says coming in and setting the bags of chips on the table "I was going to bring som choc-and oh my god why are you crying?" she said as she looked into my eyes.I opened my mouth but nothing would come out. She came closer to me and the moment her arms wrapped around mine I fell to my knees."it hurts Maddie, loving him hurts" "What's happened Isabelle?" she said brushing her fingers through my hair."Marinette came to talk to me-e during pract-tice to see if it was oka-ay if her and luka..."i felt the knot coming back onto my throat."shhh, its okay you don't have to say anything anymore"she says as she rocks me back and forth "you can just cry and let it out, ill be here" Get a hold of yourself. Luka is happy that should be enough for you.

I pull away from Maddie and wipe my tears. I'll be fine, i have to be."Can we just talk about something else? I really don't feel like crying anymore" i say trying my best to smile at her. "Luka's an idiot, he doesn't know what he has" she says trying her best to cheer me up."Maddie please.."i shoot her a pleading look as i stand up and offer her a hand."okay,okay well change the subject" she said heading over to the table where she took out the snacks from the grocery bags. "I'm going to go wash my face" I yell from the living room, as I start walking towards the bathroom I hear a knock at the door followed by maddie's voice saying. "I'll get it"

I look in the middle and brush my black hair out of my face, my now swollen eyes laid red and puffy on my face. I feel the warm water on my skin as I wash my face and for a moment I begin to feel better. I can do this. I grabbed my teal bath towel and dab the water from my face. I place my hair in a ponytail and check my appearance one last time before joining the others in the living room. As I walk in I see Maddie and Evan laying out blankets on the living room floor. "Hey Evan '' I say leaning against the wall."Sup Bells, look what i brought" he said as he raised a bag from the dupain-chengs bakery. "Mmmm great" i say, trying my best not to sound like an ass.

"Well should we wait for Luka? Or do you guys want to start the movie now" Evan asked as he leaned over the tv plugging in his Wii U. "I don't think hell mind if we start without him " Maddie said getting some snacks from the dining room table."Ill just go lock the door "i say walking towards the door. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ISAAAAA" I walk to the living room at the sound of Maddie's voice. Oh boy. I lock eyes with Maddie who's now standing on top of the couch clutching a pillow for dear life. I watch as she double taps her finger on her leg. Oh you clever girl. I slowly walk towards the pillows that lay in front of the tv stand, lucky Evan hasn't noticed me. As i take one of the pillows in my hand I nod back at maddie and give her the signal. We swing our pillows at the same time and start attacking Evan. "not fair, there's two against one," he said trying to block the pillows from hitting him. We let out a laugh and watch as he slowly stands back up. "You think this is funny" he says as he comes towards me and throws me over his shoulder.

"MADDIE SAVE MEEE" i yell trying to squirm out of Evans' grip. Evan chuckles as he holds me tighter, before turning around and facing Maddie, I look up to see Lukas blue eyes. I smile at him as he walks towards us. "Whats going on?" he asks with a straight face as he puts down the bags he carried. "We were having a pillow fight" said maddie throwing a pillow over at Luka. "umm can you please put me down" i say slightly hitting Evans back, embarrassed at the fact that Luka has seen me on Evans shoulder. "Nah im good" he said heading over to the snacks. "Maddie, my love please rescue me" i say dramatically reaching toward her. She looks over at me and pokes out her tongue. So childish. "Evan put her down before she hurts her foot even more" Luka says with a light chuckle at the end of his sentence.
