Third Person POV
"Alright then. Come at me."
Tsuki takes in a deep breath as she rushes at her father in full gear, beginning their spar with a hard left hook. Aizawa easily brushes it off by blocking the hit, his arms up in the form of an x. She continues to throw punches toward her father, but he manages to dodge each one with ease.
This carries on for some time, Aizawa weaving his way through each hit. Sometimes even surprising her by catching her attacks and landing a few hits of his own in response.
'She's pretty fast, I'll give her that,' he thinks to himself. 'But speed will never be as of good use to her if she isn't fighting with her body freely. Her attacks are too narrow and stiff. She's limber and agile enough to smoothly work her way around an opponent and take control with ease. So why isn't she using that to her advantage? Is she even aware?'
Aizawa parries one of her attacks by grabbing hold to one of her arms before kneeing her in the stomach. He then swings her over his shoulder in one swift motion, pinning her to the ground. "Quit limiting yourself to only using your arms and fists," he blandly speaks, loosening his grip and allowing her to remove herself from the ground.
She uses this moment as an opportunity to attempt another attack on the man before he swiftly counters and restrains her once more.
"You're not allowing yourself to fight at your maximum potential." He growls, visibly frustrated by her previous efforts.
This causes Tsuki to stop dead in her tracks.
"What do you mean?" she says, trying to relieve herself from her father's firm grip.
Aizawa relaxes his grip, turning her loose before continuing to further explain his observations.
"By relying too much on your Morph quirk you've been limiting yourself by only attacking with your arms and claws whenever your quirk is not in use. I had a hunch that this would probably be the case. Through all of your previous training, you've always used your quirks so it made things significantly easier for you in combat in addition to utilizing your staff. I've noticed whenever you originally fight, you would automatically rely on your tail and staff along with erasure as well. That's why I dragged you out here so early in the first place. Time is limited so you'll only have a week before the entrance exam to adjust your current fighting style." He says, further disclosing his observations.
She takes a moment to let what her dad said sink in before speaking up,
"So what you're saying is that I need to use more of my body when I fight?" She eventually concludes.
"Exactly. Despite not using the physical elements of your quirk like your tail, claws, and nails you still have heightened senses, immense stamina, and cat-like flexibility to use at your own disposal. You remember watching a few old videos of your mother fighting against some villains in the past, right?" He asks.
"Oh yeah, totally! My favorite was when she took down that huge villain with that gigantification quirk near Hosu City all by herself," she exclaims, excitement and enthusiasm visibly flooding through her.
"That's actually a perfect example." He says matter of factly. "Do you remember how she managed to work her way around the villain?"
"Of course! She used her size and speed while fighting as a huge advantage. In the end she won by pulling off a surprise sneak attack and immobilized the villain without them ever taking notice."
"That's all true, but you failed to realize one vital asset. You only took her size and speed into consideration." He starts.
"While those are both admirable advantages to have when going against an opponent, her flexibility was the key factor in ensuring her victory. She was able to swiftly dodge the enemy's attacks, avoid civilians, and go from low to higher ground all without the use of her quirk. And all of it was possible because she allowed both her mind and her body quickly adapt to the situation at hand. Because of this she was able to come up with a solution in battle that ensured no one other than the villain would get hurt. Your mother was able to smoothly move around in a way that a) made sure that the villain's main focus remained on her b) kept herself and other civilians from getting hit or brutally injured, and c) ensured that the city took as little damage as possible. In the end she was able to create a snare, trapping the villain's legs by flipping and avoiding attacks that were constantly being thrown her way. Despite her not fighting back, her movements and choices in battle made all the difference." He finally finishes.
"Ohhh ok, I see where you're getting at now. So instead of limiting myself to just my hands and arms, you want me to use my legs and loosen up my body so that I flip and use my flexibility as an advantage against my opponent?" She asks, while processing what she's just recently been told.
"Exactly. You're a cat, move like one." He nods.
"Gotcha."
Tsuki POV
'Think like mom. How would she move?'
We eventually begin to spar with one another again, but only this time things progress on a little differently. I take my father's advice, using my instincts as well as my body to my advantage to anticipate his movements and counterattack them. My body quickly adjusts, allowing me swiftly dodge his attacks and land a few of my own blows. (A/N: I'm making her fighting style similar to Black Widow's in a way. When I imagine Tsuki fighting, I think of her moving around her opponent kind how Black Widow does when in combat.)
Our exchanges continue a little while longer. My dad dodging and getting in a few hits. I work my way around his attacks, getting in a few punches and kicks of my own. Every so often I manage to catch him off guard and take him down using my legs and body.
Dad seemed to notice my improvement because after some time, he decided to test me by using his scarf.
He charges my way and sends his scarf out to grab me. 'A direct attack? Oh no you don't.' I leap to the side letting it miss me. My father takes this opportunity to throw part if his scarf from the other side, grabbing onto my arm and pulling me in. 'He figured I'd dodge, gotta take control here.' I manage to gain the upper hand by shifting my weight while being pulled and flip over him while still being held by the scarf. When I land I pull him in, only to then kick him in the back. 'Ha. Bet he didn't see that coming.'
His capture weapon loosens from my arm as he stumbles toward the ground, but he quickly recovers and catches himself before he falls. He picks himself up and turns his attention toward me and smirks.
"I think you're ready for knives now."

Another chapter is finished and I'm lowkey kind of proud. The next chapter most likely won't be a training session because they do tend to be pretty long. I tried my best not to drag this chapter on longer than it needed to be. Writing a fight scene was kind of a challenge to say the least. I set myself up from the start but we managed to pull through😖. I hope you all enjoyed though and feel free to let me know of any mistakes I may have made along the way. Any corrections are welcome and greatly appreciated.
