Tsuki POV
We go through the first three sets of tests, completing them one by one and immediately receiving our scores after.
So far, my scores are as follows:
3.25 seconds for the 50-meter dash
Grip strength of 105 kg
Standing long jump - cleared the sandbox
Now we're up to the fourth test which is the ball throw. Pretty much everyone has had their go at it, leaving me and broccoli boy to be the remaining two.
"Aizawa, you're next." He calls out.
Everyone looks to him in bewilderment as I sigh stepping forward to retrieve the ball. Knowing that the confusion probably won't die down until some questions are asked, I wait patiently standing beside my father looking toward the class.
"Wait so if her last name is Aizawa too then does that mean-" Weird hair begins to question before he's cuff off.
"Yes she's my daughter. That being said, I won't tolerate any funny business. Try anything out of order and you'll have to answer to me." He snarls, directing most of the threat toward the boys.
I sweat drop and turn my head away in embarrassment. If not for my crazy personality, it's his menacing stares and threats that I have to thank for not having any guy friends. Let alone a boyfriend. 'I'll probably die alone because of him.'
"I can handle myself dad, you've already made sure of that." I mumble, feeling an intense warmth flush my cheeks.
"Wait if he has a daughter, would that mean that there's a Mrs. Aizawa too?" The guy with the tail asks, causing the both of us to stiffen. Me more so than my dad.
He quickly regains his composure, maintaining his poker face and showing very little signs of weakness.
Over the years he's pretty much become an expert when it comes down to masking his emotions from the public. When you go into the hero business, you kind of have to. Little by little, you learn to compartmentalize until it pretty much becomes second nature.
I admit it is pretty useful when in a fight as well. I'm still learning to do this myself, but I'll admit it pretty hard. Masking your emotions isn't an easy feat, especially when your loved ones are involved. Despite this, if you looked him hard enough in the eyes, you could truly see just how much pain he was really holding inside.
Regardless of him being a pro and having ample years of experience with these kinds things, at the end of the day, I'm still his daughter. I know him better than anyone here.
I know his true feelings and just how much she really meant to him. They knew each other for pretty much most of their lives. She was his one and only just as much as he was hers. His first friend. His best friend. His lover. His better half. His heart. They wouldn't even begin to fathom the inner turmoil he must be going through at the moment to keep himself at bay.
How much hurt he's really holding back.
Because of this, I decide to try deflect the topic by halfway answering the question.
"There was," I disclose, breaking the silence.
This earns a few confused reactions and I can tell that they now have even more questions than they did before.
"But she hasn't been with us for a while now. It's still a pretty sensitive topic for the both of us so I don't really wanna go into specifics. All that matters though is that dad and I have each other." I express, looking up to meet my father's eyes.
He flashes me a small reassuring smile and I give him one in response.
'That'll be a conversation for another day.'
