Early in the morning. Kokichi's face. Yelling me awake. Again.
The room was lit by moonlight seeping through a closed window, illuminating just enough so that I could make the out shapes and colors. I got out of bed while wondering how Kokichi's volume didn't wake up the other two boys. That's making me wonder...

"Kokichi.. why am I the only one you wake up?"

He clearly wasn't ready to answer the question. I could see it on his moonlit face. His brain was going a mile-a-minute deciding what to say.

"I'm just worried about you Shuichi! I trust that the other guys aren't so depressed that they can't get out of bed. I can barely drag you out, even when I try my hardest. No way you'd be able to wake up on your own."

That seemed like a lie, but a very believable one. Hell, I even believed it a little bit. I've yet to have a morning here where I woke up on my own, not that the fact was my fault. Despite how tired I was, I agreed to take another morning shower. This time I was the only one in the showers, but Kokichi still didn't shower himself. By the time I got in my clothes for the day and went out to the lobby, I finally realized Kokichi had woken me up earlier than last time. Rather than turning on the light-switch in the lobby, Kokichi left on a single lamp by the tv. Kokichi himself was bent down by the wii, looking through a stack of CDs. I checked my phone for the time, and it was 4:30 AM. I made my way over to Kokichi to ask what the hell was going on, but before I could speak he got up, put a game in the wii, and looked back at me.

"Shuichi! You're just in time. I found Mario Kart! Come on, sit down. I'm gonna destroy you."

Classic. Kokichi being Kokichi.
"Why the Hell did you wake me up at four AM?"

"Didn't I just tell you? To play Mario Kart! Come onnnn sit downnn!"

I was too awake to go back to bed, but definitely still tired enough to be annoyed out of my mind. Nevertheless I sat down and Kokichi turned on the Wii. He sat down right next to me and turned the Wii volume down just low enough so it didn't wake anyone up. For whatever reason I actually put effort into trying to win, but I always ended up in fifth or sixth anyways. I'm usually not too good at Mario Kart, and that was exemplified by the fact that Kokichi insisted we play on the fastest setting possible. Kokichi, of course, always got first place; If he did manage to get second or third instead, he'd go into detail about all the reasons on why it's the games fault and not his. After a couple cups, we were both pretty tired.
Judging by the lighting outside, it was around 5:30 when Kokichi started putting less effort into the game and more effort into napping on my shoulder. I swear this guy is nocturnal.

After a few hazy tracks he put down his controller and wrapped his hand around my side instead. I hate to admit it, but it was adorable. I was just about to consider wrapping my arm around him, when a raspy voice boomed through the room.

"NOBODY FUCKIN' TOLD ME WE HAVE MARIO KART!?"

It was Miu. Followed by Kaede.

"Chill out Miu. Let them finish their game."

They were both walking towards us. I panicked and nudged Kokichi awake so Miu wouldn't be able to tease me about this for the rest of my life. Kokichi looked up with a blank stare, then he averted his gaze to the girls that were grabbing the controllers under the tv.
Kokichi was waking up quickly. It didn't take long for him to start being snarky to Miu.

"Could you two move any slower? You're blocking the screen."

"Pfff! Not like It'd matter to you anyways. You're two laps behind everyone else."

Kokichi let out a surprised grunt, he apparently didn't even realize he woke up in the middle of a halfway done game. By the time she finished insulting Kokichi, Miu and Kaede had both sat themselves down. Kaede sat to my side, and Miu had opted to sit down in a bean-bag chair beside the couch. We started a new cup so the girls could join in. Kaede and Miu looked like they were having a lot of fun, but Kokichi seemed like a lot of his joy from earlier had been drained. He was probably just annoyed from being woken up so quickly.
