Headmaster Zurich finished explaining the new changes that the wizards would have to get used to. He told the elemental wizards that the twelve students sitting in the middle table possessed the power that belonged to the fifth house. He didn't fully explain what this new power was, but he was clear enough to make them understand that they are now Zodiac wizards. Headmaster Zurich assured the wizards everything would stay the same as it is, but the they would have to get used to the addition of the Zodiac house.
"Wow."
"So lucky, I wish I got chosen to be in the Zodiac house."
"Dayum! I knew something had to be up with that middle table and empty tower."
"I'm kinda glad that a certain wizard won't be living in the same house as me anymore."
"No! I'm gonna miss Cancer being our leader!"
"Leo! Aries! Sagittarius! Why you gotta leave us like that?!"
"Capricorn..."
"Damn, we lost some of the best people from our house. Things are gonna be boring in the dorms."
Most of the zodiac wizards nervously laughed, hearing all the comments their fellow wizards made. Libra, Gemini, and Aquarius exchanged silly grins to each other. Sagittarius and Aries were both worried about Leo who had his head down. Taurus and Virgo made weird hand gestures to each other to show their joy, while Capricorn shook his head at the two with a sigh. Pisces happily poked Scorpio, who was staring at a blank face Cancer.
Leo slammed his palms on the table and stood up. This caught the attention of everyone in the cafeteria. Headmaster Zurich raised his arm in front of the professors to stop them from yelling at him. The headmaster knew that Leo had something important to say.
"My fellow fire wizards," Leo started, with his head low. "I can not bear to even imagine how much you all must hate me for abandoning you right now." He raised his head and scanned the fire table with a grim smile. "I want to deeply apologize for leaving you guys out of the blue like this. I just want you guys to know that I truly enjoyed the four years that I spent with you. I'm glad I transferred here. Thank you for treating me like a friend, a brother, and leader. Thank you for showing me how fun it was to be a fire wizard. I'm so sorry that I failed you by leaving like this."
Aries and Sagittarius now knew why Leo was looking so down. He felt guilty about being happy that he's a zodiac wizard now.
Most of the fire wizards got emotional. Some of them even started to let a tear fall. They had a stereotype of always being rowdy and never showing weak emotions, but they couldn't help it.
"Don't worry about us, rep!" One of the female fire wizard assured.
Leo looked shocked. He was pretty sure most of them would have negative feelings about him leaving the house without so much as of a notice.
"Yeah! Just keep on working hard to become the best wizard out there!" A male voice shouted this time, while frantically wiping the tears away from his face.
"Watch out, because we're gonna show you how much we learned from you by beating your a** in the next tournament!"
"Aries and Sagittarius, too!"
"We're gonna miss you idiots, but you guys deserve to be where you belong!"
"Yeah!"
"We'll miss you! Good luck!" Their chant echoed through out the large cafeteria.
The headmaster smiled, showing the wrinkles by his eyes. He's glad that this school has come so far from what it once was.
"You guys." Leo muttered, biting his wavering lips. "Thank you!" He bowed, while tears streamed down his face. "Thank you!" He stood straight and beamed at them with a wide smile and teary eyes.
Cancer admired Leo's bravery. She clenched her fists, having enough of being too nervous to confront the water wizards. She too stood up, brightening the faces of all the water wizards.
"I too apologize about leaving you guys, my fellow water wizards." She said while wiping her tearful eyes. "I know that I've only been your representative for a year and I'm so sorry that I won't be any longer, so please, forgive me."
The water wizards sulked along with her. Unlike the fire wizards who were holding back their emotions, the water wizards let it all go out. They all cried along side Cancer because of how much she meant to them.
"P-Please don't ask for our forgiveness because you didn't do anything wrong!" One of the water wizards hiccuped through their crying.
"Yeah! We want the best for you!"
"Thank you for everything, Cancer!"
"We'll miss you!"
"Please don't forget to come and visit once in a while!"
Cancer furiously nodded her head while sniffling. "Promise."
The former air and earth wizards looked at each other to see if one of them were gonna stand up and share something emotional and personal. Taurus shook his head, making an x sign with his arms. Virgo sinked into her chair so that the others wouldn't notice her. Capricorn waved to people at the Earth table and exchanged grins with them.
Gemini pointed her index finger to her mouth, showing that she felt like throwing up at the idea. Aquarius awkwardly whistled, trying to not make eye contact with any of the air wizards. Libra blew a flying kiss to the air table, making the females at the table glare at her while the males blushed.
"They hated me and Virgo, except the rep." Taurus murmured to Gemini, who was shocked to hear that from him.
"Really? The same with us." Gemini shared.
The two then chuckled, realizing that they were in the same position.
After realizing the former air and earth wizards weren't going to make an outburst, the headmaster sat down and raised his glass of wine. Everyone else followed his actions.
"To a new beginning!" He spoke.
"To a new beginning!" Everyone chanted.
