Luna wakes up the next day at 11 am feeing refreshed and excited. She's going to meet Jiwoo face to face for the first time today. They are eating lunch together at Jiwoo's apartment at noon.

Throwing the covers off, she rushes in the bathroom to do her morning routine. Tying a scarf on her hair to make sure her baby hairs behaved, she made her way into her closet and picked out some white shorts and a baby pink sweatshirt with some baby pink Reebok shoes to match. It was simple, but cute.

She looked at the clock and had 30 minutes to spare and it would take her at least 20 to get to Jiwoo's place so she hurriedly threw her hair into a ponytail, grabbed the keys to one of her cars, threw on a mask and sunglasses, and sped out the door. The drive to Jiwoo's place was an enjoyable one. Luna hadn't driven herself anywhere in forever. She's usually being chauffeured here and there so driving felt like new to her. She took her time and looked around at all the buildings and shops while she drove.

Soon enough, she was parking in the the parking garage of Jiwoo's apartment complex. She made her way to the lobby and hit the up button on the elevator, which immediately opened. Humming in satisfaction, she pressed the button for the 6th floor and enjoyed the quiet elevator ride alone. Walking off the elevator, she looked left to right, trying to determine which direction apartment 608 would be in. Quickly skimming the sign in front of the elevator, she determined that she needed to go to the right. That's when the nerves started to settle in.

Luna didn't know why she was so nervous all of a sudden. She and Jiwoo had been texting, calling, and FaceTiming each other for about 7 months now. They got incredibly close and that's where the nerves are coming in. Luna is known for being a friendly person, but not for having true friends. She keeps people at arms length but Jiwoo broke through that barrier and became an actual friend, something that Luna hasn't had in a long time.

Realizing she had been standing in the middle of the hallway like a statue, Luna puts her nerves behind her and makes her way down the hallway to apartment 608. It isn't a far walk. She knocks twice before the door swings open and the woman inside launches herself at Luna, making her stagger a little at the force.

"Lunaaaaa," Jiwoo practically screams while hugging her with the force of a boa constrictor.

How can such a little person have so much strength? Luna giggles and hugs her back, noticing the lady in the apartment next door peek her head out. When she sees its Jiwoo, she shakes her head and slams her door, making them break apart.

"Don't mind her, she's very grumpy," Jiwoo says while dragging Luna into her apartment and shutting the door.

Luna takes her shoes off and replaces them with slippers at the door while also taking her mask and glasses off to slide in her bag.

"I can't believe this is finally happening," Jiwoo exclaims while pulling Luna into another bone crushing hug.

This time Luna hugs back right away, feeling silly for being nervous in the first place.

"I know right, it's so good to finally see you in person," she replies, slightly looking up at the bright girl in front of her.

She notices right off the bat that Jiwoo is at least 3 or so inches taller than her height of 5'5. Her straight, black hair had been cut to shoulder length and her makeup was light and natural.

"You look great, I love the hair," Luna complimented her friend.

"Me? Girl I look like a potato compared to you. How are you so dang pretty? Your skin is literally glowing right now," Jiwoo exclaims, ushering Luna to her dining room table where she had a nice lunch spread set up.

Luna waves her off with a laugh.

"I went to the spa with my moms and sister yesterday. I don't know what they put in those facials, but my skin has never felt better. This food looks soo good. I haven't eaten Korean food in forever," Luna says, already devouring the food with her eyes.

"I need a man that looks at me the way you look at food. Go ahead and dig in."

The girls share laughs and do just that. They eat in a comfortable silence and Luna helps Jiwoo do the dishes afterwards. With dopey smiles and full bellies, the girls make their way over to the couch to continue talking.

"How did the spa trip with your moms and sister go yesterday? I'll bet they were happy to see you," Jiwoo says, looking over at Luna.

"It was fun. I had already seen my mom and Jae-Hwa two days before when they helped me unpack. It was my first time seeing Jooeun in about 3 years. It was good to see her. She's always such a positive person, like you. My mom did ask when I was going to talk to him though," Luna says, looking down at her hands with a small frown.

"She suggested I write him a letter," she continues, looking over at Jiwoo.

"I think that's a great idea. Do whatever you need to do to heal. I hate to see you sad," Jiwoo says with a pout while reaching over to rub Luna's back.

Luna sends a thankful smile to her friend and they spend the rest of the day looking at Jiwoo's designs and discussing a good time for them to get together for a photo shoot. They decide on the following weekend and Luna bids her friend goodbye before making her way back to her new home.

Luna lies awake midnight staring at her ceiling and thinking about what she wanted to put in the letter to her dad. There were so many thoughts running through her head that she wished she could just pour them out and onto paper. If only emotions and thoughts could be manifested physically. She imagines that her paper would be covered in huge splatters of colors like red, blue, and black when she was done, representing all the hurt, anger, and pain he caused her. He abandoned her and her mother, his soulmate, when she was just 7 years old.

She still remembers the day he left, all smiles and kisses and promises of seeing her in a few days time. Luna was a daddy's girl through and through. She hated when he would have to leave for business trips. She remembered him helping her mark her calendar with a big, red X on the day he was supposed be back. She remembered that day passing. She remembered asking her mother when her dad was coming back. She remembered the heart wrenching expression on her mother's face as she watched her read a piece of stationary that came in the mail that day. She remembered the pain filled wails that escaped her mother who had dropped the letter and dropped to her knees on the floor, suddenly eerily silent. She remembered picking up that letter and reading the goodbye letter written inside for them both along with some papers that had DIVORCE at the top in big, bold letters. She remembered seeing her moms heart break. She remembered what it felt like when her heart broke for the first time.
