Jin had finally finished dinner and they sat around the table eating.
"Kitten, you said you had something important planned and got sidetracked by your mother's chancla. You didn't say what you had planned."
The boys looked up with confusion clear on their faces.
"What did you do to your mom and what is a chancla?" Jin asks, making Luna break out into giggle while RM explained.
"Wait, so we're meeting your mother tomorrow?" Jimin asks, his eyes wide and cheeks stuffed with food.
"Yup, looks like it...if y'all are ok with it. Oh and my other mom, my sister, and one of my cousins as well," she says quickly, making the boys turn to her in surprise.
She could now feel their anxiety settling in her chest, making her blurt out a reassurance.
"Everything will be okay, I promise. They're all very sweet and down to earth," she soothes.
"Then why is your mother gonna hit you with a chancla?" JK asks, his shook expression in place.
"She's just going to be hurt that I didn't tell her as soon as it happened. My mom and I are like bffs," she explains.
"So what exactly do you have planned for tomorrow?" Hobi asks.
"My cousin, Katrina, is a tattoo artist. I had planned to fly her out so that she could do some tattoos that I've been wanting for a long time. With the exception of my grandma, all the women in my family get a certain tattoo. It's like a family tradition now. That's why my mom is coming. My other mom and sister are just tagging along with her," she explains.
"That's such a cool family tradition. What's the tattoo that you're getting?" JK asks.
"It's 2 red cherries. My mom's maiden name is Cherry. It's actually pronounced Sherry but it's spelled like the fruit so that's how people say it. My grandfather was well known so when people would see my mom and my aunts together, they would be referred to as the Cherry girls. That's what inspired my mom's oldest sister to get the tattoo. She thought it was cute so she got it too, and then my youngest aunt, and my eldest aunts daughters and so on. Now it's considered a tradition."
"Oh wow, that's so cool. I want to watch," Tae exclaims, clapping his hands in excitement.
"We'll be set up in the living room. You all are more than welcome to watch. My mom will probably hold you hostage down here and tell you embarrassing stories anyways. These are the other tattoos I'm getting. I drew them myself," Luna states, searching her phone for the pictures.
