"You doing okay down there with the Mins and Jeons?" Joon asks quietly as she slices the deserts that had been cooling.
"I think the Mins actually like me. It's Mrs. Jeon that's laying it on a bit thick. I think she thought I made you guys pay for this place or something...she's asked me a lot about my career and insinuated that I would benefit from ARMY. My mom stepped in and shut that down," Luna chuckles, now facing him.
"If it gets to be too much, you don't have to answer a thing. Just walk away. You don't owe her an explanation for anything and it's none of her business who paid for this place," he huffs, making her smile and place her hand on his bicep.
"I'm okay Joon. I'm more concerned for JK. I could tell he was uncomfortable and embarrassed by her line of questioning. I know what she's insinuating but I'm not sweating it when I know was out of ignorance," she replies, giving his arm an affectionate squeeze.
"I'm glad that you can keep it together so well. She and Yoongi hyung didn't get along so well at the beginning. He could've used some of your level of calmness," he chuckles.
"I just hope she backs off because it won't be long before one of my moms asks her what her problem is. The last thing we need is for Linda to go mama bear. I don't play about my mom. Calm is the last thing I'll be if it goes there so we need to separate. Maybe I can offer to give all the parents a tour after dessert and wine," she says, making him nod.
"Good idea. I think Mrs. Jeon needs to see the library where all your accomplishments are displayed. I'm sure it'll be a real eye opener," he winks.
"What are you two in there whispering about?" Jin yells, drawing attention to them.
"About how you can come pass out these deserts since you left me in here to cut them alone," she grins, passing him the pan, making his brother and father let out a teasing "ooh".
"I like her," Jin's mother grins along with Tae's mother.
"Luna, which wine do you recommend?" Joon's father asks, gesturing towards the various brands and types of wine on the table.
"Do you like red or white?" She asks, quickly washing and drying her hands again before she makes her way over.
"Red. It tends to be sweeter to me," he says, making her nod.
"Then I would recommend this one—it's my favorite and it's a sweet red," she says, grabbing it and a wine opener from the table.
She opens it and pops the cork out, pouring a glass for him and herself.
"Anyone else?" She asks.
Jin's father and Jimin's mother pass over their glasses. She fills them halfway and passes them back.
"Mmm, this is amazing. Best wine I've ever had hands down. I'm not usually a drinker," Joon's father says, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Definitely top 5 material here. You have great taste Lu," Jimin's mother adds, making Luna smile at the use of the nickname only Joon had called her until now.
"I might want to put this on the menu for the restaurant dear. It's immaculate with dessert and I feel it'll go well with meat and salads too. It's a good, well rounded wine," Jin's father says, letting his wife take a few sips.
"Mmm, this is American though right? It may be too expensive to have it imported in bulk," Mrs. Kim replies.
"I don't think it would be a problem. This wine is actually only about 8 USD in America. You can order cases internationally off their website," Luna informs them, making their eyes widen.
