December 27, New York

Two words, but who could have known such words would have a big impact on six people? In the end the United Nations had to calm everyone down in order not to attract attention.

UN then turned to America, to his surprise, and said, before he opened the door, "You ought to prepare yourself."

The hospital wing was a very neat place. It was similar to the grand conference room, however much more smaller and with a large window at the end, with its clean tiled floor and cabinets aligned near the desk and labeled in a neat way. The wooden desk sat beside the doorway. In front of them, eight beds, aligned in two columns of four facing each other, with curtains to block the view. There were no patients around today. However despite all this, the sickly smell of blood came.

UN beckoned the rest to follow him as they neared the last row of beds and lifted the curtain of the left one.

More gasps came

The body of Japan laid on the bed, his round glasses askew, his white button up shirt stained with a crimson substance. The white peaked cap he once wore sat on the bedside table, the chrysanthemum emblem on it mirroring his face, as if trying to reveal what had happened and failing to do so, merely showing what the result of the cruel happening had done to its bearer.

World Health Organization (WHO), a sibling of UN, was tending to Japan.

"I'm sad to say that even after looking for evidence, such as fingerprints or any pieces of objects in his body, it has become clear that whoever has killed him has left no evidence behind," said WHO.

"Well, then," UN asked, "Does the lack of evidence leave any clues?"

"I suppose I can say that the murderer has barely touched him while doing the act, and that they might have used a melee weapon such as a knife, and that the lack of bloody foot prints in the crime scene can indicate that they must have had killed him from a distance."

"That's impossible! That is unless their aiming skills are considerably well. But even so, if they had removed the knife from his body, how did they refrain from touching him?"

"Exactly"

UN turned to the six petrified faces and ordered, "I will make this an announcement. In the meantime, proceed to my office and decide among yourselves on whoever has done this."

The six countries left for UN's office in total silence.

UN's office was in many ways similar to the office's of all countries, but much more bigger. A window as high as the ceiling overlooked the desk. In front of the desk were two chairs. From the left end, there was a fireplace, with the fire warmly dancing and crackling, as if welcoming the guests (who must have been out in the cold for a long time in this context), and in the right end there were sofas and couches and a coffee table as well as cushions on the floor so that the guests may feel comfortable in any way they please. An elaborate chandelier hung from the ceiling, still unlighted as it may come to you that it is still 9 in the morning.

However the office had an air of coldness. Who knows why?

The six walked into the office amidst chatters and stares. As they entered, they went to the far right, where the sofas and chairs sat, and plopped down. There was a very awkward silence.

What seemed like hours later, two people arrived.
One had square glasses and the German flag on him, and was wearing a gray military uniform and black slacks with boots. He wore a gray peaked cap with the German emblem. The other was wearing an entirely black uniform with a black cape colored wine red on the other side with a silver chain to connect it. He wore a black peaked cap with the Italian emblem in silver instead of the usual gold. You may know both of them. They are Germany and Italy respectively. Fear not: they are very unlike their father (or uncle in Italy's context).

"We heard what happened," said Italy before seeing all of their downcast faces. He then kept silent and sat down beside a despaired America who had been quietly sobbing and breathing into his palms. Germany followed, and the silence returned once more.

Silence? There was chatter and conversation outside, but why should that matter?

Finally the lady with the crimson kepi we have mentioned in Chapter one broke the silence.

"Why would UN call Spain, Saudi, and I even though we have nothing to do with Japan?"

She had the French flag on her face and wore a beige uniform, with black loafers and the color of her pants were slightly darker than her uniform. Her left eye was almost the same color as America's although her right was a chestnut brown. She spoke in quite an aloof manner, and her French accent accentuated that.

In short, she was France.

"I don't know," said China, "but didn't he say we're supposed to discuss among ourselves?"

"Well then, who could have done that?"

"Whoever killed Japan... Must have a reason to kill him, like they were ordered to kill him or maybe they hate him a lot," said Germany.

Everyone stared at China.

"I-"

"Oh, shut up, you," America finally spoke, but he only muttered, "Everyone knows that you hate him because of what he's done to you during World War 2."

"Okay, fine, I admit, but why would I-"

"Didn't I tell you already-" America snapped, but was immediately cut off

"But that doesn't give me any legal permission to kill him. Besides, I'm sure there are plenty of others who hate him more than I do."

"Oh really?! Like who?"

"Are you this dense or what?!" China then mocked thinking, "Let's see, how about any of the two Koreas?"

Russia then broke in, "China, are you really pitching yourself against your friends? Especially on North?"

"That doesn't mean I'll be bribing the judges to clean his records," he sighed in an exasperated manner,"Whatever the case, I'm not the one who killed him! Even if I did, I would try to explain why I would have done that"

"China, do you even know how people's minds work?" America snapped right back.

Just as things were about to escalate into a fight, another guest came in. He was wearing a navy blue uniform, however he was short. His name was NATO.

America, Germany, France, and Italy stood up to greet him.

When NATO spoke, he only did in mere stutters. Once he had cleared his voice, he then said, "So, uh, hello everyone. The United Nations himself sent me here to see how you are all doing, and then he said something... about you guys judging among yourselves," He noticed the majority staring at China, "I suppose you have decided among yourselves, isn't it?"

"NATO, I have something to say," China said quickly before America or anyone could open their mouths, "May you tell whoever you are with to please keep a close eye on North and South Korea?"

"China that's literally who you're actually going for?" Russia asked.

But he had strode out of the office before any of them had to say anything. Even though he had closed the door, They kept staring at the doorway, even after his footsteps have faded away.

"So I guess this is the 'kinda' final decision?" Asked NATO, breaking the silence.

"Not even a single bit," America said firmly.
