Love is a Danger Zone

Take down

After I arrive to work the next day I go check in with Callen. Nell and Eric had pulled an all nighter and found a old abandoned house on the side of a river that could be a likely hideout for Peter. I was heading upstairs with my parter to watch the team take the place down.  

------------------------------------------------------Kensi’s point of view----------------------------------------------------------

We arrive at the house, and Eric comes over our ear pieces. 

ERIC: "Okay so there is one heat signature in the house, no back up."

CALLEN: "Thanks Eric."

SAM: "Me and Callen will take the front you two can take the back."  "On my three."

We all arrive and me and Deeks sneak around the back.  

ME: "We’re in position Sam."

 SAM: "On three, 1…..2…..3…"

Deeks kicks the door in and I am the first to enter the building. I hear Callen Scearm "N.C.I.S. drop your weapons!" and shots from that end of the building.  I clear my part of the building and shout "clear" and soon hear Deeks shout the same. I still hear shots go from the frout. We move towards the sound.

We can see Peter hiding behind a wall, he’s shooting at Sam and Callen who are returning fire. We are trying to bring him out of here alive so they are trying to shot him in the leg or somewhere so it won’t kill him. 

I come up with an idea and turn around to look at Deeks he catches my eye. He nods and grabs my hand knowing what I am about to do. He says "Go I’ll cover you." 

I nod and turn back around, carefully I sneak up behind him but not carefully enough I kick something on the ground and it goes flying across the floor making the most horrible noise in the world. 

Peter turns back around and fires shots I duck and start shooting Deeks dose the same.  All of a sudden I hear a yell from Deeks and no more fire. Right after that I shoot him in the leg. Sam and Callen move forward and arrest him.  I hear a faint cry

“Kensi.” 

I turn around and see that Deeks is on the floor. I rush towards him and as I see that he was hit. I knell next to him and grab his hand which he squeezes.  

ME: "Eric I need two ambulances on for Peter and one for Deeks he got hit"

ERIC: Got it.

"Deeks look at me, stay with me ." I said trying not to cry.  

I’m trying Fern, but it hurts I got shot in the stomach… I think. he said desperately 

 Only he would use on of his nicknames at a time like this. 

Just focus on breathing.  I said while rubbing his hand.

Out of nowhere an ambulance arrived and Deeks was lifted onto a gurney and carried away. Someone came up behind me and I leaned into them knowing who it was.  

 "It’s okay Kensi he will be fine." Said Callen while wrapping an arm around my shoulder .

"I know I just feel like it’s my fault." "He said he would cover me, and he ending up getting hit. " 

"Kensi." Callen Said frimly. "You didn’t know he was going to get hit." "He didn’t have good cover and nether did any of us." "This is not your fault." 

I nodded, and got off the ground. Sam came over and gave me a hug, but it was on of those big brother comfort hugs.  

SAM: "Peter has already been charged with Atempted  murder of a Federal agent and Terrioism, along with a bunch of other crimes." "I think it’s best we head back. The trainee’s will want to see you." "I think you should come with me. Kenis" "Callen can drive your car, I don’t think you are in any condition to drive." 

CALLEN: "Agreed." 

I nod and toss my keys to Callen and follow Sam to his car. I know these guys to well to argue.

Okay okay nobody shoot me. I was going to leave it on a bigger cliffhanger but I wanted to be nice to you guys. The next part will up soon.
