'Aki, Aki, Aki, Aki! Venues, venues, venues, yeah!'
'If you wake me up like that again, I swear I will kill you.'
'Kind of difficult to do since I'm immortal.'
'I'll find a way.'
'Alright, get up.' I pull the covers over my head in response. 'You wanna start this shit? I'm omnipotent.'
I'm in the kitchen, already dressed with coffee in front of me. 'Thanks.' I say dryly.
'You're so welcome.' Lucy replies, sipping on his own coffee. 'It's not coffee.'
'What is it then?'
'Herbal tea.' He smiles smugly.
'You and your healthy habits annoy me.' I say, sipping on my coffee.
'Excited to get a venue?' He changes the subject.
'Of course. So where are we putting it?'
'Like I said, let's just find a nice place to put it and it'll all be sorted before I have to go to the case of doom.'
'What's the case about?'
'Fuck knows, but they're all awful.'
'Some are interesting.'
'Don't lie, they're all horrendously annoying to deal with.'
'Yeah, there's really no positives.' I finish my coffee and go to the door. Lucy follows after, and soon we're walking down the streets of the city centre. Inferno is a nice city to be honest, but I don't know where exactly to put a cafe. Maybe I could put it near Edie's bookshop?
'That is probably the best place.' Lucy interrupts my thoughts.
'How so?' I ask.
'That square is literally nicknamed 'the hipster square' because there's just a bunch of hipster cafes and used bookshops.'
'What, like Vero's?'
'Yeah, like Vero's.' As I had found out quite recently, Edie's bookshop actually belonged to her wife and not her in any capacity.
When we get to the square, we start looking around for a nice space to put our- my cafe. Eventually, I decide on a small street leading into the square, with a slushy place on one side and a vintage clothes shop on the other. I bet it's denim city in there.
Lucy puts in a small venue for me in between them. Then, he tells me to keep quiet while he moves our apartment above it. Sure enough, our apartment floats in and plops down on top of the venue.
The cafe.
My cafe.
I like that.
'Hang on, our apartment is way bigger than the venue, how does it fit there?'
'See, that's why I needed you to shut up, so I didn't mess it up. Let's go inside?'
As I go into my cafe- I still love thinking that- and the place is large. Like outside it is tiny, but inside it's a decent- sized space. I look to Lucy questioningly.
'Pocket dimension.' He smiles. 'Same with our apartment.'
'That's amazing.'
'I'm amazing.'
'True.' I spin around. 'it's so spacious.'
'So is your mum.'
'The woman is literally dead, Lucy.'
'So are you.'
'Wait!' I realise something. 'Could I see my ma? Like, is she in hell?'
'Probably, I'll have Joe check. What's her name?' Lucy doesn't look as excited as me, but he's never lost his ma and realised he could see her again.
