The Shy Girl

Morning?

Waking up to the annoying sound of my alarm clock, I get up and start to dress. Putting my uniform on I grab my shoes and head to the restroom. I brush my hair leaving it down and brushing my teeth. 

"Good morning sis!" I said going down stairs meeting my sister at the dinning table. "Morning baby sis. The boys were asking about you last night. They wanted you to be there. Also you didn't call me last night." She said with a frown. Oh right, I went straight to sleep last night. "Daichi said next time you coming with us so we know where you are" Kiyoko said smiling remembering last night. 

"Sorry sis. I fell asleep right when I came home." I said with a small smile. "I forgot, I went to the store I got some pork buns and ramen but when I came home I went straight to sleep. Sorry for worrying you." I sat in front of her eating the breakfast she made. My favorite chocolate chip pancakes. 

She shook here head, "You didn't just worry me, Daichi and Sugawara were worried when dinner was over. They dropped me off and saw the lights were off and offered to come inside with me just in case. I told them it was fine but they still followed me." she let out a small chuckle. "When we came in you were passed out on the couch with a bag of ramen. I assumed you fell asleep before eating. Daichi and Sugawara thought differently and wanted to wake you up but I told them no and just to put you to bed." Oh, I fell asleep on the couch? How do I not remember? 

"Oh sorry. Wait if I was passed out on the couch in my uniform, did you change me? Also who took me to my room?" did I make a fool of myself? Did I have slobber on my face? Oh gosh did I sleep talk? Ugh all these questions unanswered! I guess expression told sis how I was felling because she started to laugh. 

"don't worry, you didn't do anything. Daichi carried you to your room and they both left. I changed you into your pajamas and you were fast asleep. You did hold onto Daichi when he was carrying you. When he tired to put you down you didn't want to let go. He thought you were like a baby, he didn't want to let you go either." So I did do something embarrassing, I held onto Daichi just great. 

"Daichis like a dad figure isn't he?" I said not meaning to. Kiyoko looked up at me and raised her eyebrows telling me to explain. I put down my fork and looked at her. 

"Yesterday when I was running home he stopped me asking if I was that excited to go get food. When I told him I was going home he was hesitant to let me go but I guess he figured it wasn't in his place to stop me. Before I started to run again he told me to stay safe and when I was near the rode he told me to stay away from where the cars are. So I just thought he was like a dad is all. It kinda just came to me." I said shrugging at the thought. 

"Anyways we should get going before we are late." I said taking the last couple of bites of my pancake and getting up putting my shoes and grabbing my bag. Kiyoko followed behind me and we went off the school. 

Getting to the gates I stopped and sis also stopped. "Whats wrong?" I shook my head and faced her. "Nothing, but I was thinking maybe today I could try and go by myself. Get a feeling of the school before going straight to class" I said smiling. Kiyoko nodded thinking. 

"Okay, just make sure your not late. After school the boys have practice so i'll see you near the gym okay?" She smiled patting my head and leaving. I guess its time to learn to stand by myself. 

Walking around the campus, there were a lot people talking and walking in pairs. I kept walking till I got bumped into making me fall. "I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention" I said getting up brushig myself off. Looking up I see its the boy, whats his name? It was something Nish um Nishinoya? Oh yea!

"No its okay, I'm sorry I should have watched where I was going" the boy said bowing. I looked behind him and say two more boys. I think they were Tanaka and Ashai, right? Looking back at the small boy he was still bowing. "Its fine, I should get going. Um see you later, I guess" I said turning around but crashing into someone else falling. "Whats up with me and falling today?" I said to myself. 

"Sorry Ayako! Are you okay?" Looking up at the voice I see it was Sugawara. He held out a hand to help me up. I took it standing up, dusting me off. "Sorry, I saw you and come to say morning but you turned around and I knocked you down. Are you okay though?" He asked concern in his voice. I nodded and smiled.

"I was just going to class." I said slowly walking around him. "I'll um see you guys later?" I said before turning around making sure no one was there before walking away. So this morning is almost the same as yesterday the only difference I didn't have Kiyoko to hid behind. 

In class, I sat in my seat what was in the back roll next to the window. Taking out my sketch book I start drawing a cherry blossom tree that was outside the school gates. I put on my headphones listening to 'So What' by Loona while sketching. Staring to draw the outline of the tree and gate I felt a presents behind me. 

Putting down my sketch book, I look over to see Hinata smiling while saying something. I take off my headphones and stare at him. "I'm sorry?" I said confused on why he was talking to me. 

"Oh, I was saying good morning. Um what are you drawing?" He asked with a light blush going across his face. I look down embarrassed for making him repeat himself. Grabbing my book I move it over for him to see. "Your drawing the cherry blossom thats in front of the school? Thats so cool!" he said smiling looking over the rough sketch I did. 

"Its not done yet" I said taking the book back closing it putting it back into my bag. "What are you doing here?" I asked still confused on why he was talking to me.  His smile fluttered a bit but he regained it and smiled brighter. 

"I am in this class. I guess you didn't see me, being the first day of school and stuff its hard to notice people" he said letting out a light chuckle trying to ease the awkward atmosphere. I nodded smiling. "Yea, yesterday was kinda...weird so I didn't pay attention to anything or anyone." I said referring to me and my big sister almost being tackled by the short second year. 

"Its fine. The guys were wondering where you were last night. They were wanting to have dinner tonight but with you coming along" he said like he was supposed to pass the massage. I guess they were wanting me to come, or maybe my sister kept bring me up and they got tired of it and asked if I could just go next time. 

"Oh maybe, I'll have to see" I said. Right when Hinata was going to say something the bell rang and the teacher walked in. What a great way to start the day.
