The Shy Girl

Yay!

"So we all ready to go?" Sugawara said walking with Tanaka and Nishinoya next to him. He looked over to the others on the other side of the gym then where Kiyoko and I were standing.

"Ya!" Everyone said except Kiyoko and me. Sugawara looked over to us. "Girls?" He asked smiling. I looked over to Kiyoko and smiled.

"Ya!" We said in unison smiling over to the others. They all smiled while Hinata ran over to me and hugged me.

"Yay! Ayako is coming!" He said letting me go but still holding me. I nodded not knowing what to do. "Come on Hinata, your scaring the poor girl" Tsukishima said walking with the other boys towards the door. "Sorry" he said before running off to be with the others.

"Glad you changed your mind" Tanaka said walked over to me smiling. "Come on. Let's go eat!" He said dramatically turning around pointing towards the gyms doorway.

Grabbing my bag, I start to walk where Kiyoko was near the entrance to the gym. "Is Tanaka always so...dramatic?" I asked walking next to her. But before she even got to open her mouth answer a voice came from behind.

"Ya, Tanaka is always like that. You will get used to it if you hang out with him more." Nishinoya said standing next to me. I nodded understanding. "So what changed your mind to come?" He asked with curiosity.

"Oh, um I ran into Tanaka when I was about to leave campus and he asked where I was going. I told him home, but he told me I should go out with you guys. He said it was my choice to make so he left. I kinda stayed outside longer then I thought. When I finally realized it was dark and windy. So ya, I guess you should thank Tanaka for me coming" I said nodding wrapping myself with the blanket I still had.

"Oh well, I guess I have to thank him personally" Kiyoko said wrapping her arm around my shoulders pulling me closer. "You still cold?" She asked concerned in her voice.

"Kinda, I think I will be fine if I have a hot soup or something" I said shaking her off, not wanting to ruin her meal with the guys. "I'll be okay, sis no need to worry" I said smiling.

Getting to where the others where they were waiting by a black truck. "Took you long enough! Let's go!" Hinata said before getting slapped by Kageyama. "Shut up" he hissed before walking towards the third years.

"So here's now it's going to go. Asahi, Nishinoya will be on your lap. Hinata with Kageyama. Yamaguchi with Tsukishima. You guys will be in the third roll. Girls are with Tanaka in the second and Suga and I will be in the front. Got it?" Everyone nodded and moved to their spots in the truck.

"Why are we in the way back? It's a tight fit! Also why is Tanaka with the girls. You know he's the biggest flirt!" Nishinoya said frustration clear in his voice.

Suga and Daichi shared a look before nodding. "Your right. Nishinoya with Tanaka. Asahi with the girls." Daichi fixed before getting in the car. "There happy? Good now stop complaining" he said facing the front before switching the car on.

Moving to where we were going to sit. I sat in between Asahi and Kiyoko but more towards Kiyoko. "This isn't far" I heard Nishinoya hiss under his breath causing Asahi to tension up. I guess he's nervous.

Grabbing my phone and headset from my bag, I handed Kiyoko one earbud while I wore the other. Looking through my phone playlist I choose my car ride playlist. It consist of mostly piano music.

About to put my phone away I felt my phone vibrate. Looking down, I see a new message from my best friend Kenma. Opening I respond to his text.

Kenma: Hey Shimizu, what you up to?

Ayako: going to eat with my sister and the volleyball team

Kenma: volleyball team? You playing again?

Ayako: No, my sister is the manager of the guys volleyball team at Karasuno. I'm just tagging along.

Kenma: oh okay, well anyways I wanted to know if your free this weekend. I wanted to go to the arcades and thought you would like to go.

Ayako: oh I'll have to ask, but I would love to go with you Kenma. I'll ask after dinner tho. Im in a car with the others.

Kenma: okay, just let me know. Also Kuroo told me to tell you text him. He won't stop asking about you.

I let out a little giggle catching the attention of everyone. "Sorry" I said turning back to my phone.

Ayako: tell him to hold on. It's only the second day of school. I need to adjust to my new surrounding.

Kenma: I did but you know him. He never listens. Anyways, you sister goes to Karasuno?

Ayako: yea, it's weird being in the same school but after everything I'm kinda glad that I don't have to figure out everything on my own the first year.

"Who you texting?" Kiyoko asked peeking over towards me phone. "Kenma, he asked if I could hang out this weekend" I said turning my attention towards Kiyoko after sending my text. "Oh tell him sure. You should get out of the house" she said turning her head towards the window. I nodded even though she was looking with a smile on my face.

Kenma: yea that's a relief. I felt the same, but still would have wished you came to Nekoma, we could hang out more!

Ayako: yea I know and we would be together two years before you leave but it would have been fun being together. Oh right my sister said I could go this weekend just tell me the time

Kenma: Great! Um Saturday at 11 the arcade opens at 10 so it would be good time? Or later?

Ayako: no 11 is fine. I'll see you there. We are at the restaurant I'll text you later.

"We are here!" Nishinoya said excitedly. Sending my last text to Kenma I turn of my music unplugging my headset and turning my phone off. "Finally! I'm starving!" Tanaka said getting out of the car.

Well there's no turning back now, huh?
