Chaeyoung's POV
Two long days have passed and the doctor finally set me free. I mean, I'm coming home! Lisa also told me she'll be picking me up early, but she's already fige minutes late. Where the hell is she?
"Come on, Lali. I have to surprise my unnies." I mumbled. A few seconds later, a loud knock echoed inside the room.
"The door is open." I said. As the door opened, I saw Lisa's lovely figure holding a bouquet of roses. Wait, did I really say 'lovely'?
"Sorry, I got caught in a heavy traffic. Damn, someone crashed his car in a truck." She said, panting.
"Let's go!" I exclaimed. Before I got out of the room, she stopped me halfway and made me hold the bouquet.
"Oh, by the way, these are for you." She said. I felt the heat rising up to my cheeks.
"T-Thank you." She held my other hand and pulled me with her. We reached the parking lot and entered the car.
"Anyway, do you want to cook for them?" She asked while buckling up her seatbelt.
"Yup! I hope none of you told them that I'm coming home today." I said. She let out a small laugh that made my heart melt.
"Of course not. We're bestfriends, aren't we?" She said, emphasizing the 'bestfriends'. To be honest, she sounded kind of sad, or maybe it was just me?
"Then I'll bring you to my condo." She suddenly spoke out of nowhere. My eyes widened at what she said. For what?!
"You said you'll cook, right? And it's for a surprise. You can't cook in your dorm since Yeri is your roommate." She concluded. I had no choice but to agree anyway.
"Oh, Lili. Can you cook?" I asked. I needed some help making macarons since I'll be making a lot.
"U-Uh... I'm not sure about that." She stuttered. Cute.

"So the first thing we have to do is to make the batter. Can you pass me some eggs please?" I said. She passed me four eggs and I started to crack them, removing all the egg yolks, separating them from the whites. I can feel the way she stares at me which made my heart beat faster.
"You need a mixer, right?" She asked. I nodded while separating the last egg yolk. She gave me the electric mixer and I started beating the whites.
"Slowly pour the sugar... there." I suddenly felt her body touching my back as she was behind me. I continued mixing until there was a peak.
"Then we have to sift the almond powder." I said and did my thing. She suddenly wrapped her arms around my waist, shocking me. I felt butterflies somersaulting inside my stomach.
"You smell good." She whispered. My heart pounded faster and faster as she didn't let go.
"A-And then... L-Lisa..." I gulped as she hugged me tighter.
"Let's just stay like this for awhile, the macarons can wait." I took a deep breath to calm my heart down, but it didn't work.
Please cooperate with me today, heart. Just for today. Please?
Her phone suddenly rang, and I felt her arms slip away from my waist. I sighed in relief but it felt kind of empty.
"I'll just take this call." She said. I continued what I was doing as I looked at her at the side of my eye. I mixed the batter in the sifted almond powder, making the texture thicker. I poured the batter in a piping bag and started shaping the macarons.
"Oooh, that looks so cool." She looked at what I was doing and then looked at me after.
"Can you help me bring these to the oven?" I asked and lifted up the tray. She took it from me and smiled.
"Of course."
How do people not fall for their bestfriends? I need some help. My heart isn't helping.
