Lisa's POV
I was about to go back to the dorm to surprise Rosie, but then I saw her running towards me. I didn't really expect to meet her like this, when suddenly, someone pulled me in the street where there was a dead end.
"Who the hell are you?!" I shouted. She pushed me against the wall, making me drop the flowers I bought for Rosie. The moment I saw Chaeng take a turn on the street, the woman in front of me pulled my nape aggressively, kissing me. I widened my eyes and pushed her away.
"Rosie. Please. Please let me explain." I said, grabbing her wrist, trying to pull her close to me. The girl behind me quickly ran away, laughing.
"Explain what? How can you explain to me what I just saw?" I felt like my heart was pierced with a million needles.
"I don't know her, Chae. Can you even recognize her? She just pulled me here and kissed me-" She slapped my arms, getting away from me.
"Oh yeah, then your lips moved on their own. Enough of the bullshit, Lisa! I'd rather know and get hurt by the truth than be comforted by a lie."
Those were her last words as she walked away. Why? Why now? Strangely, there were no tears coming out from my eyes. Maybe it was the shock of her breaking up with me this way. The rain fell down, and there, I sat down. I cried nonstop, and the rain seemed to comfort me as well. Why did something so cruel happen right before I was about to be happy? Can't I just be happy with her? Why is fate like this? Was it really destined to happen?
Suddenly, the rain stopped. I looked up, my eyes were puffy and my vision was blurry, but I knew who she was. Jisoo.
"Come on. Wanna drink?"
2 years later...
Chaeyoung's POV
"Chaeng!" That was the first thing I heard from Jennie and Jisoo the moment I answered Jennie's call in FaceTime. I waved and smiled, "Unnies!"
"It's been a long time since we talked. How are you? You look really thin, Rosie." Jennie said, pouting. To be honest, I have already moved on from Lisa already. Should I go back? I really miss some kimchi fried rice and some tom yum kung. Hold on. Why am I remembering stuff that Lisa and I had a past on? Fuck it. It's been two years, Rosie. Move the hell on, please.
"I'm fine, Jen. Just a little busy here in Australia." I sighed. "Is that my cousin?" A familiar voice said in the background.
"Chanyeol!" I exclaimed, my face lighting up as I saw him. He waved at me then ran away. I frowned. We kept in touch in our social media, but I haven't seen him in person for years. The last time I saw him was when we had our awards as a group.
"Why are you with him though?" I asked.
"He's doing charity work with Jisoo. I'm just here to support the both of them." She said, smiling while looking at Jisoo like she's the love of her life. I hope I'll meet someone who looks at me like that.
"You're blooming, Chaeng. I've seen your recent music videos and you look gorgeous in each one of them." Jennie said, making me blush. I thanked her in return.
"So, when are you coming back to Korea?" She asked and smiled sheepishly. I just fixed my hair because I'll be doing a photoshoot for Yves Saint Laurent tonight.
"Oh, don't give me silence. When will you come home? For Peter's sake, you've been staying in Australia for two years. Aren't you tired of the people there?" I shook my head. I had a lot of Korean fans that supported me ever since I debuted as a BLACKPINK member.
"Come on, Jen. I accepted your FaceTime so I can atleast know what the hell's going on there. I didn't pick up your call for you to nag me just so I would go back there. It's not gonna work, unnie." I said. I really wanted to go back, but I'm afraid that I'll remember everything. Though I always stay up at night, replaying the same memory in my head.
"Oh, I forgot. How's my look for tonight?" She stood up, showing her tight dress that she was wearing.
"You look good as always, unnie." I said. The butler outside signaled me that it was time to go.
"By the way, I have to go. Stay safe, Jennie!" Ending the call, I rushed outside of my room, grabbing my bag. As I finished the photoshoot, Kim Myung Dae, also known as Zac, a friend of mine, came in running. He was a childhood friend, and he knew Lisa as well. He was the one I leaned on, and he leaned on me as well. We helped each other to move on from each other's exes.
"Zac! Finally, you're here! You should've called me before you got here." I said, giving him a cheek-to-cheek kiss.
"I found someone to be your permanent choreographer. She's an ultimate genius when it comes to dancing. Do you want to meet her now?" He asked. I nodded as a response.
"Perfect! Let me just get my car." He said, rushing outside. I bid goodbye to the team that I was working with and went outside too. In a matter of seconds, a roaring Lamborghini came in. I saw Zac inside who was smiling like a mad man.
"New car?"
He nodded, "Mom bought it for me. I'm naming him Dael." I laughed softly as I heard the name of his car. Zac had so many cars, and he buys one whenever he has a new crush, then names them after his current crush. Dael, in the other hand, is the guy that he currently likes. He's been crushing on him ever since he got the job as a manager.
"What's with the rush, Zac? I'm not really rushing the choreographer tonight. We still have a week, remember?" I asked as I got in his car.
"You'll see." As we arrived in the location, I widened my eyes. There was a familiar woman that my eyes got stuck on. Our eyes locked, and the same, rushing feeling came back to me. Fuck.
"You know, Rosie. You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading your last one. If you guys start talking again, just act like strangers. Alright?"
Right. We are strangers who know every shameful secret, every single flaw of each other. How can I move on like this, Lisa?
