Chaeyoung's POV
It's almost a week after everything that has happened, and Lisa has been very sweet to me. Though she doesn't show it in front of the other members, she would secretly put something inside my sports bag and ask me to get it. It would be a drink, a meal, a snack, or something sweet.
"Ooh, looks like you're in a good mood." Yeri suddenly said out of the blue.
"W-What?" I asked.
"You've been smiling for about ten minutes. I feel like you and Lisa made up already. Or am I wrong?" I widened my eyes and pursed my lips.
She snapped her fingers, "Ha! I knew it."
"Is smiling for about ten minutes that bad?" I jokingly asked.
"Hey Siri, is smiling for ten minutes bad?" I was shocked that she actually asked Siri about it, but I found it funny somehow.
"Here's what I found. The physical act of smiling, even if you have no reason to do so, or do so with no passion, but just physically make the motions, makes you automatically feel better. Try it, smile at this very moment and feel how it makes you feel better." It said.
"I told you, it wasn't bad to smile for that long." I said, proudly.
"Since when did you tell me that? I do not remember a time where you've said that." She asked. I rolled my eyes at her.
"I said it in my head, of course. If only you could read minds, you'd know when I've said it."
"Hm, let me see. If I could read minds, then I could've known all the reasons why you like Lisa a lot." She said. I looked at her, shocked. How did she know that I liked Lisa? A lot?
"I don't like Lisa, dumbass." I said.
Because I love her.
"Because you love her?" I widened my eyes. It was as if she just read my mind!
"H-How did you know? I mean, I've never told you that yet but-"
"I've heard people use that cheesy line. 'I don't like it because I love it.' That's why I knew." She explained. I sighed in relief. I thought she knew it all along.
"Anyways, we have to go. It's literally half past 5, time for our session with Irene unnie." She said and dragged me with her. We entered the elevator and before it could close, someone slipped her hand between the doors. I stood there, dumbfounded. I know who owns those hands. Lisa.
As the doors opened, I felt like everything was slowed down. I captured the moment with my eyes. The way she casually stood beside me, the way she rests her face, the way her hair slowly falls down to her shoulders. Our eyes met, and I felt my heart beating faster than ever. When she smiled, I could feel the blood racing to my cheeks. What is this? I felt this before. A lot of times. With Lisa. So this is what it really feels like to be in love.
"Chaeyoung? Chaeyoung-ah?" I snapped out of my senses as soon as I heard Lisa calling my name. I really find her voice soothing. It makes me calm and relaxed.
"Y-Yeah?" Yeri nudged my arm with her elbow and gave me a teasing look.
"We're about to reach your floor. I'm coming with you guys by the way." I was startled when she held my hand. The door opened and she dragged me with her. Am I out of my mind? The seniors shouldn't see us holding hands in the hallway. We'll be doomed! Especially her. She can possibly lose her job if anyone from the higher ups knew about us.
I tried to remove my hands from her grip but she held my hand tighter, making it harder for me to move. What the hell are you doing, Lisa? Are you crazy?
She looked at me, her eyes saying 'trust me'. We both knew the consequences once our feelings grew bigger, but it was too late to go back now. I allowed her to court me already.
To be honest, I think it's harder for her to make moves just so we can see each other. I have no time to complain. She's trying so hard to keep her job, yet here I am, slacking off. I have to improve my skills so I can debut and stay here with her.
Please hang in there, love.
