Lisa's POV

"What the fuck are you doing, Daisuke?!" The man shouted. Junhoe whispered something to Chaeyoung as she looked at him with tears welling up in her eyes. He pointed the gun at the man as Chaeyoung quickly ran to us. The man tried to stop us but he was too late, Junhoe was holding him back.

"You're gonna pay for this in hell, Daisuke." The man gritted his teeth as he strangled through Junhoe's hands.

"Oh, you are going to hell, fucker." Junhoe said as he punched the man with much more power.

"You're gonna die with me anyway." The man laughed as he glared at Junhoe. I saw that the man was holding a gun behind his back.

"Junhoe, duck!" I shouted. Junhoe panicked for a second but followed what I said. The man pulled out his gun and quickly pulled the trigger, aiming for Junhoe's head. Thankfully he dodged the bullet, causing it to pierce the wall.

"You think you're better than me?" The man said.

"Oh, hell yeah." Junhoe smirked and signaled me to get Chaeyoung. I ran as fast as I could to reach her.

"Chaeyoung." I breathed out in relief as she was safe in my arms.

"Go, now! There are bombs surrounding this warehouse. If you don't get away from here, you'll obviously die." He said. The man struggled to move as June was trying to chain him up on the chair.

"W-What about you?" Chaeyoung whispered. Junhoe smiled at her. A sad one.

"I'll be fine, Rosie. You'll see me soon, but now is not the time. Go!" I tried to carry Chaeyoung on my back.

"June, you will be remembered." Jaehyun said before we walked away.

"Will he come back, Lisa?" Chaeyoung muttered as I was trying to climb down the ladder. I didn't answer as I felt her hot tears falling down on my back. We quickly ran to Jaehyun's car and I gently placed Chaeyoung's fragile body on the back seat. She looked so angelic while sleeping.

"Get in, Lali. We have to go." I sat down beside Chaeyoung and closed my eyes.

"I didn't lose her, but I lost a close friend of mine. Why is it always like this, hyung?" I asked. Jaehyun started driving away.

"There are people who come and go. Not everyone is meant to stay in your life. Sometimes they are only there long enough to teach you the lesson that you needed to learn." He sighed. Comfortable silence draped over us. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep.

But then, a kilometers away from the warehouse, we heard an explosion.

"Lili..." I quickly opened my eyes as I heard Chaeyoung call out the nickname she used to call me.

"Lili, I remember you." She said and tried to sit up. I helped her sit up as I felt her intense gaze on me.

"Really?" I asked. She nodded as she gave me a weak smile.

"I'm sorry. If I didn't tell you that—" I hugged her gently and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"Shh. That's all in the past. I should've been the one who said sorry to you, but you forgot about us." I chuckled.

"Let's go home."

Chaeyoung's POV

I woke up, feeling dizzy and light headed. I saw Lisa's figure treating my wounds.

"Oh, did I wake you up?" She asked and stopped treating my wounds.

"No." I shook my head and tried to sit. She helped me by gently pushing my back as her other hand supported my arm.

"Feeling better?" She asked. I nodded. After all these years, why did I remember her now? She continued putting bandages on my wounds.

"Lili." I called out. She raised her head as she looked at me.

"Hm?" She hummed.

"Thank you." I said and smiled. She raised her eyebrow, confused.

"Why?" I giggled.

"If you didn't track my phone, I would've been dead by now. I owe my life to you." I said.

"Pfft, you don't have to thank me. You gotta thank your ex-boyfriend." She sighed.

"But still, if you weren't there, he wouldn't be able to take me away." I explained.

"Yeah, you have a point. But I owe it to him, too. He was such a hero even though I hated him for quite a while." Lisa hissed. She finished treating my wounds as she stood up.

"Rest for now, Chaeng. I'll bring you to the hospital later for them to cure the damage in your bones." I leaned on the headboard as I looked at Lisa who was arranging the things she used.

She mumbled something, and I think I wasn't supposed to hear it, but I heard it anyway.

"I promise, Chaeyoung. You'll be safe in my arms from now on."
