Chapter 3: An extraordinary day

Time flew, it was my last detention! I hope that I can get some more detention, I really want to see him again. I am so sad...

Alice and I weren't as close as before, we were both hiding things for eachother and we both didn't want to say it.
I saw Alice wandering in the hallways and I said Alice! She saw me and walked on quickly.

Didn't she want to talk? I accelerated and called Alice again. I caught up with her and stopped her, Alice what's wrong?
Nothing she said.
If there is nothing wrong, why didn't you stop?
I have a class to attend and so do you.
Alice, come on. I know there is something wrong, you can tell me.
Alice was not sure she could tell her... after a while she said, I think I am pregnant...

Alice said, I was like doing stuff with you know that Slytherin boy I'm dating, but to make my story short, I should have gotten my period a week ago...

You should go to madame Pomfrey, I will stay with you if you want me to.

I was shocked, Alice... pregnant? I know she is not responsible, but this? I looked at my watch. Shit, I had to attend charms 15 minutes ago. I ran to the classroom.

I've learnt the charm I always wanted to learn... Expecto Patronum, it is by far my favourite charm. My patronus is a Heron, I didn't expect that but I like it.

The day passed and it was time to attend my last detention. I was thinking about how I could get detention, but without doing some dangerous stuff.

Knock, knock. I went into the classroom, but I saw Dumbledore talking to professor Snape. Sorry, sorry, I said and went outside.
After a while Dumbledore left and said to me that it is such an extraordinary day. I nodded

What did he mean? It was just a normal friday.

I went inside and I apologized.
Professor Snape said that it was okay, today is your last detention so we are grading papers together.
I put my things down, took a chair and placed it next to Professor Snape's. How was your day professor? Mine was very hectic.
Tell me more Sam, mine was fine, some students who thought it was fun to poison another student, but the situation was under control.
Well, those are some dumb students. I don't know if I should tell a professor about it, but I think I can trust you, can I?

Alice told me she thinks that she's pregnant because of a Slytherin.
She should go and see madame Pomfrey.
I told her that, I hope she isn't, she is too young and naïve to be honest.

You're welcome Sam. I think we've graded enough papers for today, do you want to drink something?

Alright, follow me to my bedroom, my couch is more comfortable.
Oh okay, I said stuttering. I've been there once, when I had to paint his walls.
I sat down on the couch and grabbed my glass of lemonade, Professor Snape sat down next to me and poured himself a glass of water.
I see you painted the rest of the walls, it look nice.
Thanks Sam he said. Can I ask you something?
Everything I thought but as always I just said yes sir. I am such a fool.

Uhm, I don't know. I think I desire love from a specific person. What do you desire?

Should I tell him? I don't want to lose him. But why did it seem like he could read my mind?
He sat closer, so close that I could feel his breath on my face.

I can read minds, it is called legilimency professor Snape said. I felt that I started blushing, was he reading my mind I asked myself.
Suddenly he said yes and placed his lips on mine, we kissed passionately. My arms were around his neck and his arms were around my waist.
After a while we let go of each other and looked into each other's eyes. Professor Snape said he wanted to do this for a long time, but I was still amazed that it had happened.
What do we do now I asked him.
He said we should keep it silent for a while and I have detention for a couple more weeks because I am a naughty girl. We laughed.
It was late and I said that I had to go to my dorm. I kissed him on the cheek, see you tomorrow professor.
Oh please call me Severus when nobody is around, see you tomorrow Sam.

I walked away with the best feeling in the whole world.

When I arrived at my dorm I saw Alice laughing with some other Hufflepuffs.
I am not pregnant! Alice yelled.
Oh, that is some wonderful news I said. I'm going to sleep, goodnight everybody.

I went to bed and as professor Dumbledore said, today was an extraordinary day.

Severus Snape

I was sad because today was the last detention with Sam. I thought of ways I could be with her more, at 5 o'clock Dumbledore would come to my classroom and help me.

The day passed and professor Dumbledore knocked on the door.
Come in professor I said.
Hello Severus, You needed my help?
It is the last day of detention with Sam and I don't know what to do...
Maybe it is time you confess your love for her Severus.
Today? I don't know, what if she doesn't feel the same way?

He was right it was time she should know.

Knock, knock. Sam came in. She seemed worried.
She said sorry, sorry and she went outside.

Oh, I think someone is early for detention with you, I will go.

I saw Dumbledore walking away and Sam came in.
I told her she didn't had to apologize and we would be grading papers today.

We were grading papers, when she asked how my day went, I still wasn't used to someone asking.
She said that hers was hectic. She told me that her dumb friend Alice thought that she was pregnant. Why were most kids so dumb? But my dear Sam isn't dumb, she is so smart...
I comforted her and asked her if she wanted a drink.
We went to my bedroom and I sat next to her on the couch.
I felt that she was nervous, but I was nervous too. We talked a bit about the walls when I asked her what she desires the most and she needed some time to answer.
I desire love from a specific person she answered. What do you desire most?
I didn't answer. Soon she would figure out what I desire. Who do you desire love from?
She had so many thoughts in her mind, it was hard to follow them. When she thought you, I was suprised, she felt the same. I just had to do it. One kiss and everything would change.
She asked herself why it seemed like I could read her mind.

Sam said it was late and that she had to go, I wanted her to stay but it was too early to do such things.
She kissed me on the cheek and said see you tomorrow professor.
Why did she call me professor? Please call me Severus when nobody is around I said. See you tomorrow Sam.

I saw her walking away and I was relieved. I kissed her, she kissed me back... this was the beginning of something beautiful.
