Chapter 6: Vince Ostrium

Time flew and it was the last night of the Christmas holidays. Severus and I were in bed when I asked him what to do next. Are we going to make it public? Do I have to act differently? Where do I sleep?
Sshhtt... don't worry love. If you want to, you can sleep in my bedroom. I think you have to decide what you're going to do with your seventh year.
I made up my mind, I am going to do summer school I want to become a professor. Our relationship is stable so I think we can make it public, I hope we don't get much negative reactions... we smiled.
I hope so too, but I'm here for you my little professor.

We went to sleep and I dreamt about our future, a marriage and maybe some kids. I think we could make beautiful babies, but for now, we just practise making them.

I woke up early, I was stressed. Today we are no longer hiding our feelings for eachother, today we go for it!
We changed clothes and I apparated my stuff to Severus's bedroom. We ate with all the professors and it was fun, I felt like a real adult.
They all wished us a bright future and when I told them that I would be doing my seventh year in summer school, they asked why. I told them I would like to replace Professor Flitwick before the next school year. Professor Flitwick said he couldn't wish for a better replacement and I had to blush.
Professor McGonagall said that the students could arrive any moment and when she said it the students came in.
I ran towards Alice and gave her a hug, how was it?
It was amazing, Jack is so nice.
Oh professor Dumbledore wants to say something, we must go to our seats.

Welcome back, said Dumbledore I hope you all had a great Christmas break, I have a few announcements. The first one is that professor Flitwick will be retiring next year, we are searching for a new professor. The second I will not tell myself but professor Snape will say it.
Welcome back students, I hope you aren't as stupid anymore as you left the school two weeks ago. I have found a woman I love, she is one of the students in this room, but is of age. I'm not a pervert. I expect you to respect our relationship and not interfere with matters about our relationship. You will find out who it is, so if I may ask Sam Anemone can you come forward?
I walked to Severus and as I did everyone started to whisper and stare at me with their mouths open.
Silence! yelled Dumbledore.
I was standing next to Severus and said I am Professor Snape's girlfriend.

Dumbledore said these were the announcements I wish you all a wonderful year, go to your common rooms, the lessons start tomorrow.

I hugged Severus, I hope it will be alright.

We kissed and I went to my common room.

I hope I will not get bullied again...  pfff... I know Alice will have my back. Come on Sam just go inside.
I walked in and everybody looked at me. I said hello... so are you guys okay with it?
A Hufflepuff said yes but it is quite strange...
I understand... pfff.
We are okay with it, but you know those Slytherins... their head is professor Snape. Some of the girls liked him very much, but like really much.
I said thank you and went to the classroom of Severus.

Sev? Are you here?
Yes Sam wait a minute, I have to finish this potion.
Okay. I sat on one of the desks watching him brew. Which potion are you making?
Veritaserum, Dumbledore asked me to make it.
Oh okay, I went to my common room... a couple Hufflepuffs said that some Slytherin girls are jealous and angry because we have a relationship...
Don't worry Sam.
He finished the potion and took me into his arms.
Everything is going to be alright.
We kissed.
I said that I have a bad feeling about this. What I didn't know was that dark times were coming.

Weeks passed and a few students were punished, but in general everyone took it well.
Severus and I were cuddling on the couch when professor Dumbledore asked all professors to come to his office. I was a bit worried, but I knew Severus would tell me, if there was something wrong.

After a while Severus came back. He was shocked.
What's wrong Sev?
I... I don't know how to tell you.
Just tell me Severus.
The man who killed your father, he will come after you... he is spotted in Hogsmeade.
I said that I have to go.
No! Don't you understand Sam? He knows you're a student at Hogwarts. The moment you go out of this safe castle you're dead!
I know, but I have to tell Alice, she doesn't know what has happened with the death of my father... she has to hear it from me... not from someone else. News travels fast in the castle.
Okay, but come back, we have to talk to Dumbledore.

I went to the common room but Alice wasn't there. I asked Lydia, a Hufflepuff I know, where Alice could be.
Alice? She is in the common room of Slytherin.
What is the password?
Pure blood.
So Slytherin I said. Thanks for your help.

I went to the dungeons and said Pure blood, the door opened.
Alice? Alice?
Look who is there, the new toy of Snape.
I'm not! I am just searching for Alice, if I can talk to her for a minute I'll go away.

Alice? Are you here?
Yes Sam, what are you doing here?
Can you come outside? We have to talk...

We went outside and I started crying.
Alice, My father's murderer... he is back... for me.
Wow what? Tell me what happened.
So my dad had to spy on Vince Ostium. You know the serial killer. Vince found out and he killed my dad. I found out that he cursed my mom, she became depressed and killed herself but you know that part. I'm the only one who's left... I knew it would happen just not when...
Wow, I don't know what to say Sam... be safe.
I will, I have to go, Severus and I have to talk to professor Dumbledore.
